Location! With the sea on three sides, we are the first coastal stop on the Wild Atlantic Way. The extreme age of the house makes it unique. The guest room is newly renovated. It's basic, rustic, homey, and a bit crumbling at the 260 year old edges. I am easy going, like meeting new people and speak German. Continental breakfast is provided. We have a micro climate of sun, a huge bonus in Ireland!
There is ample parking, and super fast Wifi for multiple computers. The upstairs shower/toilet is tiny and we have spiders.
There are two non shedding dogs and two indoor/outdoor cats. (No animals go upstairs).
Guests have access to the whole home. There are beautiful, sheltered and deserted private beaches in 20 minute walking distance over fields, public beaches are 15 minutes away, with kayaking, surfing, wind surfing. The Old Head of Kinsale is just up the road. The lovely village of Ballinspittle is 3 miles away for shopping, with a cafe and boutique deli. Situated 11 miles from Kinsale, we have panoramic views, and enough wind to blow away any cobwebs. We're near the village of Ballinspittle, walking distance from The Speckled Door Pub.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to interact with guests when I am free. "Mi casa es tu casa".
Other things to note
The house is old, and exposed as we are so close to the sea, sometimes the weather is crazy! Did I mention the spiders, 3 small non shedding dogs and 2 cats? A neighboring farmer uses the shed and barns directly next to the house, unsightly but there are no animals there.
No shoes upstairs. Smoking outside please. All garbage/rubbish is recycled. All food waste is for the compost. Bottles, tins, plastics go in recycle bin, and must be rinsed, please just leave them by the kitchen sink.
