Jose is a lovely host with a nice little apartment in the suburbs, with quick transport links to the city center.

I had a great stay. Jose replied to messages very quickly, the view was great, and the journey into the centre was straightforward and pleasant by train or walking

Jose made his best to make us feel welcomed. The flat was nice and clean (the room we stayed in had also a beautiful view!) and located in a convenient place. I'd definitely recommend to stay there for several days or more!

José is a legend, really nice guy and did all within his capablilty to ensure that we had a great stay. He offered us a pdf with great things to do in San Sebastián and where to get free pintxos (tapas)!! Room was cool and the place is easy to get to on public transport. It's a little far to walk to with suitcases so would recommend going by train/bus from the centre when you arrive. :)

We found Jose a very welcoming host. The place is good for a 2-3 days stay. A bit far from the city center (and beach), but you can do it walking (and there are public transportation nearby). I would recommend Jose's place

First, check in was a little bit of an issue as the host had to work until 8pm. We tried to arrange time and a place to get the key in the center of the city and this was a bit problematic as he wasn't responding it quickly. The first thing we noticed once we got to the room was the odor. We had to keep the windows open for the whole time we were there. Speaking of the windows, this place has 2 big windows without any curtains and sheers so if you are a light sleeper you are going to have a problem. Also, we found hairs on the bed sheets as soon as we got there and the mattresses weren't comfortable. My girlfriend was complaining of backache for the 2 nights we stayed. Last but not least, the worst issue was the fact that the room wasn't soundproof. We could fully hear his neighbor playing music and singing at 8am on Sunday morning and this went on for at least couple of hours. This part was a real nightmare.

Response from Jose:
I wrote him days ago saying when he gets home. I stayed all morning at home and later work, we agreed to check in at 20.00. He did not come on time and I went downtown to give him the key. I always clean the sheets for new guest. About the windows, there are wooden shutters outside he did not see, his problem, it makes me laugh to read it. The room is clean and with air freshener always. And noise? Well, Drazen is extremely sensitive. I am sorry.

Jose is a very welcoming host. He has a nice place which is good for a short stay. Bit further from the beach than would be ideal, but otherwise fine!
