Edward's cottage is absolutely beautiful and is very cozy. The rural location of the cottage provides a quiet, peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. There's a huge area behind the cottage that can be easily explored and the fruit trees in the garden are amazing! The communication with Edward prior to our stay was absolutely fantastic and the detailed directions that he provided on how to reach the cottage were so accurate that even a sat-nav couldn't do better! I can't recommend Edward's cottage highly enough - it is absolutely amazing!

Edward was very responsive and provided us with lots of details about how to arrive and what to see nearby. We were a group of 5 who stayed for 2 nights - went to Dingle Peninsula on the 1st day and Cliffs of Moher on the 2nd day of our trip from Dublin. I'd say it's a good location to see west Ireland. The area itself is great: the village is very close and the cottage is very peaceful and relaxing indeed. We particularly enjoyed staring at the starry night sky. The place is quite big and there are lots of books and info about places to see nearby, but the phone reception is not great. The only downside was some of the dishes in the kitchen weren't spot clean, but general cleanliness was fine. All in all, we would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Edward's communication was top notch, provided all the details and added some great tips for our trip. It was a wonderful cottage, so much space, lots of stuff for a family to do. If you're a fan of classics like me, you'll love 1) the book collection, and 2) the cds.. too bad my stay was short. This would be a good midway location from Dublin and the attractions towards the west side, but do not be mistaken, there are plenty of wonderful local attractions just around the corner if you prefer a local experience.

Edward's cottage played a big part in our very pleasant 2 week trip to Ireland. We were gone everyday but happily returned each night to our home away from home. Edward was a very helpful host. He even got a coffee maker for us so that we could enjoy our coffee every morning. The country scenery from his cottage is very nice. We would be happy to return again.

Retired head teacher, now living in Kent with my wife Joan. We love long walks. I spend my time writing (three books published so far) Hobbies include music (all sorts but especially Irish) Love 'em or hate 'em - I support Manchester United - have done for years Grove Cottage is my second home and is truly delightful - for its peace and relaxed atmosphere.
