Sally and her family were incredibly welcoming. The room and en suite were immaculate and the bed is sooo cosy and comfy! We slept beautifully! We were lucky with the weather and Sally very kindly put out seats for us to spend the late afternoon in the sunshine, taking in the view. Sally gave us lots of local recommendations for dinner and advised us to book which was good as it was packed! Breakfast was yummy - the homemade lemon curd was a highlight! (And it would be a crime not to mention the fry up with homegrown eggs from the lovely chickens!) Thank you Sally for a lovely stay!

Sally was warm and welcoming, the accommodation was as listed, very comfortable, clean and tidy. The location was rural but easily accessible from the main road. Sally also provided a book with details of the local attractions and places to eat which was very useful. We would definitely return. Thank you, Sally.

Easiest 5 star review I've ever given. The beautiful surroundings of the moors compliments the beauty and luxury of the room. It was immaculately clean and so chic. The hosts had even gone out of their way to not only check us in but also to celebrate our wedding at nearby Danby Castle by decorating the room with banners and a balloon. I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay after the best day ever. Thoroughly recommend that you book!

Sally was very welcoming - despite us turning up 3 hrs late (at 10pm) due to traffic problems. The room was brilliant, great bed and bathroom (I would stay again just to use the wonderful shower). Sally's breakfast was splendid. We hope to stay again next year! PS there were tea making facilities!!! (Huzzah!)

We were made very welcome and shown the room by the host, fresh milk was provided for the drinks. It has some lovely touches -biscuits, bottled water, toiletries, wine glasses, books of the local areas, magazines and even a few DVDs etc. As only the second guests we were able to enjoy the newness of it all. Really well presented and comfortable, lovely bathroom. Great breakfast in the morning. Perfect.

After working for the Youth Hostel Association in London for over 20 years I have returned to my roots and now have my own business. I enjoy meeting people and love to be able help them enjoy the beauty of the North York Moors. I have one b & b room in a converted stable adjoining the house and also a campsite. We are a family run business and love to have people around us.
