Judith is a very nice welcoming lady. The Room is a basement room with windows but smells very musty. Don't assume the listing is a separate building-it is not-the term "Carriage House" is what she calls the whole house. The bathroom needs a lot of work (grout, tile on floor). The Host is aware of the needs. The Location is very convenient to walk to everything in town, however there are businesses on either side of the house and it is across the street from the public library, so you get traffic noise. The Fireplace pictured is for decor only. Also, you can hear the host walking around upstairs or cleaning. Again, Judith is a lovely lady but these are the realities of staying there.

Response from Judith:
Wish that you were more comfortable. I tried to be honest with the description of my listing. The listing reads that it is a private room only not a separate building. It is callled the carriage house and is not a cabin in the woods and is listed as in town. Towns usually have traffic. Waynesville is a small town so traffic does die down in the evening, and the home is not on the Main Street. The listing reads no fireplace as an amenity. On Saturday morning I did have carpet cleaners come in but they did not start their work till 9:30. I am very aware that I live upstairs and walk very quietly in slippers inside. The bathroom does require updating but is clean and functional, but will be remedied when renovated during the off season.

The convenient location was great. We could walk to everything in downtown Waynesville, which is charming and vibrant, with lots of shops, restaurants, and art. The room was clean and Judith was very responsive.

We had a wonderful time in Waynesville. The Carriage House was comfortable and roomy. Judith was friendly and helpful and respected our privacy. We had our own parking spot and private entrance. We could sit outside in a comfy, covered patio area. We like to walk and we could conveniently walk to all of downtown Main Street. Our favorite breakfast place was the newly opened Trailhead Cafe. The 2 craft beer brewing establishments were also walking distance for us. Boojum's and the Tipping Point had craft beer and excellent food with friendly service. What a lovely town!

I couldn't have picked a better Waynesville location for what we planned to do. Judith is an amazing host, she went out of her way to insure our comfort and made us feel right at home. Everything depicted on the web site was accurate, the bed and bath comfortable and serviceable. No problem with the environment or amenities. Would definitely return visit with Judith!
