Welcome to our beautifully converted first-floor barn, offering a light-filled, open-plan space perfect for a peaceful countryside getaway. Nestled above a ground-floor entrance with private toilet and shower facilities, this stylish retreat combines rustic charm with modern comforts.

There is no Wi-Fi or tv, relax and enjoy the orchard and nature instead

The space
Other than relaxing, you can also expect:

A fully-fitted kitchen with fridge, hob, microwave and everything you need to self-cater.

A snug wood-burning stove for cooler evenings.

The tall French doors open with a juliet balcony to far reaching views over the orchard and somerset levels countryside. A bird-lover's nature reserve. Herons,buzzards and Egrets are all busy here. And a kingfisher has been seen skimming the Reams down below in the flats. A bird watchers paradise.

Relaxing in a beautiful setting, watch the sunrise over the trees, or take a walk in the orchard out the front door. The property enjoys plenty of parking and nearby walks and village pubs.

The nearby country village of Wedmore is 1 mile away. The owners do have bikes that can be hired if you want to ride instead of drive. The village has a pleather of choice for Dinning. The George offers high end pub cuisine, The Swan has a proper pizza oven or the Blue Bird with Indian dishes has comedy nights and live music regularly.

Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or anyone seeking a restful break away from the hustle and bustle.

In the barn are a pair of resident barn owls. Located in their own separate bird box in the retreat, they access via a slit in the external wall. At night they can be seen hunting in the surround countryside, a marvelous experience for bird watchers and nature lovers to behold. A truly unique experience that will want you coming back time after time.

Just a quick word of warning, Owls do twit tawoo at night!! And the Barn owl has its own unique squawk. So don't be frightened if you hear them talking to each other in the night. Just enjoy their majestic flying skills as the fly silently over the orchards below.

For wine lovers the Mowbarten vineyard is a 5 minute drive away, were you can enjoy English wine at its very best. The sparkling pink is our family favourite.
