We have had a lovely stay at Lindsey's barn, the welcome was warm and friendly and the barn exactly as described, with added little treats upon our arrival. Lydia, Lindsey's daughter was really helpful too and sourced us a taxi company who charged only £6 to take us to the nearest village of south zeal where we had a lovely meal at the Kings Arms pub. Zeus the dog was a welcome visitor on most days and we even managed a BBQ on the patio overlooking stunning views of Dartmoor. Thankyou Lindsey and co

Response from Lindsey:
Hi Fiona, Thanks for your review and comments. I'm sorry if you found cobwebs, they do appear very quickly in an old building and what looks like dust on the skirting boards is mainly the unpainted wood showing through- will be finishing painting soon. We will definitely not be accepting dogs, they are not all as clean, friendly and unsmelly as mine! We may put some something between the kitchen and sitting room but please be assured that we can't see in easily due to the nature of the glass. A second bedroom would of course be a bonus but the price would go up accordingly, I'm sorry if you were expecting one. I hope that next time you are in the area you are able to find somewhere that better meets your expectations .

The barn was a lovely place to stay and was actually bigger and even nicer than I expected from the pictures. Lindsey and her family were great hosts - very friendly and helpful. She provided everything I needed plus some extra treats.

Oasis of peace and quiet in a stunning location. We watched the moon over Dartmoor whilst a herd of cows grazed a few yards in front of us. Only minutes from Okehampton and the A30, yet in another world. Spacious accommodation with all mod cons. Lindsey welcomed us with life's essentials in the fridge - milk, butter, cava - and left us to get on with it. Ideal!

The dartmoor barn is as spacious, comfortable, and well equipped as described, excellent position for us as it was close to A30 and quick to get on with our journey to Cornwall. Loved our warm welcome from Zeus (the dog). We had a very comfortable stay.

Absolutely lovely! The barn is fresh and modern, with beautiful views over Dartmoor. Lindsey and Mark made us feel very welcome and gave us great local knowledge for our day trips. Very thoughtful touches on arrival, eggs, butter, milk etc and a few toys for our little one to play with. We enjoyed our stay very much!
