Cosy 2 bedroom flat decorated in a pretty vintage style in a quiet Victorian Terrace with onstreet parking in the centre of Bridgend. Easy walking distance to train, bus stations, shops & restaurants. Nicole is an author & domestic historian and has decorated this flat to reflect the Pretty Nostalgic style of her books. Almost every item is either vintage, antique, upcycled or cleverly repurposed. However, there are some new items where hygiene and practicality requires them. Eco products used.
- You are most welcome to make yourself at home and to use all the vintage contents of the flat, but please treat them with care. We know accidents will happen and we would appreciate you letting us know if anything is broken or damaged during your stay. Marlborough Flat has its own side entrance which is close to neighbours so please be respectful when entering and leaving, especially at night and early in the morning.
- We are an eco-friendly household, please help us by recycling and composting your waste and please be mindful of your energy consumption by turning off lights which are not in use and turning the thermostat down at night and when you leave the flat. We are very happy to help you in any way we can during your stay and can offer breakfast, dinner and fully catered options, and we are happy to cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.

I am a domestic and social historian and ex museum curator and I have been an author for the past 5 years and have written and edited 20 books and magazines under my own Pretty Nostalgic brand. I believe in spending wisely, wasting less and appreciating more and strive to live in a creative and sustainable way.
As a family we have just moved back to my home town of Bridgend and hope to make a difference to the local community, I am the secretary to the local history Society and also give historical and traditional living talks and workshops to children and adults. I collect anything and everything which is old and interesting and my house is a bit of a museum. My passions are for old books and ephemera and making things from scratch such as cosmetics and herbal medicines. I am also an enthusiastic plant and herb grower and as a family we eat a mostly wholefood and plant based diet.
