This is a beautiful house in a peaceful, friendly residential neighborhood with excellent subways (2,5,B,Q, and S) and near one of the prettiest parts of Prospect Park. My place is close to the Prospect Park ice-skating and roller-skating rink, boathouse, bicycle rentals, and subway station, as well as the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, zoo, and Brooklyn Museum. My home is good for couples, friends, and families.

The space

This is a historical home that is fully renovated and lovingly furnished. It's three floors, with the three bedrooms and two full baths on the top floor; an open, airy ground floor with living room, dining room, and kitchen; and a cozy English basement with many books, TV, and hangout area. In addition, the back yard was landscaped with great care and inspiration by a dear friend and is a perfect place to read, relax, eat, and socialize.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole house and yard.

Interaction with guests

I am always available by phone and email.

Other things to note

This is a friendly neighborhood. People greet each other on the street and lots of the neighbors know each other.

We had a wonderful stay at Daphne's place. It's beautiful, comfortable, clean, and quiet: a lovely retreat in the middle of Brooklyn. It's a perfect location for a family or small group. It's also situated a mere block from a subway station, so its easy to get around Manhattan, though also within walking distance to major Brooklyn sites. Daphne was also easy to get in touch with and extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others!

The house with furnitures, pictures, books and garden. I had never seen such a lovely house before this trip. My 3 years old daughter is shy in case of the place where she goes first time, however, she became to love the house soon when we arrived! And the location is also good. It is close to a station of the subway. We could use the station for every our trip in NYC. Then we didn't forget to getting some good coffee in the morning because we could use a good coffee shop nearby the house. Finally, the owner Daphne is very kindly person. I had never met her, however, I thought like that I had met her in somewhere. Probably her personality made us such a feeling. Our family could feel comfortable in this entire trip. Thank you Daphne.

Daphne's home is gorgeous! It was like we walked right into a home from the house beautiful magazine. The house was spot less, the bathrooms clean, the linen smelt clean and fresh. I have stayed at other airbnb homes and this has been by far the best yet. She leaves you a handy folder that explains everything. She even checked in on us during our stay to make sure we were okay. The only negative thing i have to say which i would say is more of a recommendation is to explain how to use the oven and microwave which we kind of struggled with in the beginning but we managed. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.

Daphne's home is absolutely stunning! Everything was as shown in the pics. Our family (5 adults - 2 couples, one single) shared the home with room to spare. The basement doubled as a second master en suite as the sleeper sofa was the most comfortable couch, hands down. My parents shared the master and my brother used the bunk bed room and hall bath. One bedroom (small canopy twin) was unused on our trip. With 3 bathrooms, all with radiant heat in the floors, hardwood throughout the rest of the house, open floor plan on main level, great location, and hip decor, this was a perfect stay for us. Thank you Daphne!

Daphne's home is spacious yet cozy, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. It is an ideal setting for close friends and family to relax together. You will feel that you are in a dear friend's home! She is a warm and friendly communicator, and was readily available in the lead up to and throughout our stay to answer questions and make suggestions.

I am a writer who splits my time as much as possible between Brooklyn, NY, and Marfa, TX. Both homes that I rent out in these places are very dear to me, as are the town/city they are located in. Though a couple thousand miles apart and vastly different in size, both Brooklyn and Marfa are founded on a deep sense of culture, history, art, architecture, and nature (this last one is more evident in Marfa!), and there are amazing people to be found in both places. Home to me is a place where there is a vivid sense of warmth and color, where books and paintings can be found, where friends and family can eat and laugh, and you can rest your feet and head at the end of the day.
