Dear Lycia and William,
Firstly, a big thank you for appreciating how good our friend Rachael was in helping you settle in to the villa. We are sorry we were not there in person but we too were away travelling at that point. She will appreciate the recognition.
We are very sorry to hear our home was not to your particular taste. You are correct in highlighting it is located in a natural, and we along with all our previous guests like to think beautiful, position. Our villa’s description mentions the words ‘jungle’ and ‘nature’ numerous times. You have been the first of our guests to have an issue with being in such a private and ‘green’ situation, which leads me to suspect you failed to read our property description fully and accurately.
One aspect I would like to take slight issue with is accessability. Our house is easily reached by scooter (or taxi). Our previous reviews, if you take time to read, describe how easy it is to use our recommended taxi service or rent scooters on Koh Tao. 90% of our access road is smooth concrete with a small sandy stretch in between connecting the two concrete sections. Again, if you read our description, we do point out our road is ‘steep in some parts and sandy in others’. For Koh Tao this is definitely not ‘hardcore’!
For any future guests reading this; we thoroughly recommend you, and all accompanying guests, read the location details carefully, as well as reading our previous reviews. This will make you fully aware of the details of our beautiful island home.
