Our best stop in Croatia! A lovely breezy little home near the sea on a quiet island (just an hour from Trogir by Ferry). The island itself is small (don't need a car) and perfect - olive groves and stone walls fill the interior, the harbour is good for snorkelling and the small beach near Zlatko's house is a white pebble and sand haven. Before 11 am you have it pretty much to yourself and couple of others, before the ferry arrives. The sea is turquoise and clear. We had waves when we were there which I understand is unusual. The beach shack does nice calimari and the restaurant does delicious fish and kebabs (not for the low sodium eater!) There's a tiny island shop and a bakery open in the mornings. But it's good to take over a few essentials/snacks - and maybe torches. Basics like bun bags and soap were there already which is so helpful. The house is smallish but well equipped and comfortable with a nice outdoor area, young garden, shady terrace. One large double and one small double (our two kids wouldn't share it so one ended up on sofa). Air con in the lounge. Zlatko was great at communicating before our trip and met us at the ferry. He organised a little truck to take us to the house (like a ride on mower - great fun!) and his mum left us some really tasty food to set us up. Altogether brilliant for a short stop or a quiet week and we can't wait to return.

We were looking for a small island experience, staying close to the beach in a peaceful, unspoilt place and that is what is on offer here. The island is very special, the beach is beautiful, the sea is warm and the house was just right for the three of us. Zlato provided excellent communication and organisation and met us before we got on the ferry and arranged transport of our luggage to the house on the island side. Arriving in the dark following the guide was an adventure. Cars don't go right down to where the house is - you leave your car at the top of the hill and walk down. (If you arrive in the dark - make sure you have a torch.) If you can take much of your food shopping you will need for the trip with you. You can buy bread on the island in the mornings at the harbour and would need to cross back over to Trogir for a supermarket. Ferry crossings are around 3 times a day and take around an hour and a half back to Seget Donji/Trogir. If taking your car - take note you get on the car ferry at Seget Donji and not Trogir as it says on the Jadrolinja web site - buy your tickets there to save time. It is a bit tricky to find where the docks - allow time for this. While you're waiting - Antonio's restaurant does amazing food. We tried the restaurant on the beach at Vela Rena where the house is - it was v expensive compared to the mainland - easily double the price. This is an amazing place to go and would definitely return.

We spend 5 nights at Zlatkos very nice appartement. It is very good equipped, especially in the kitchen there is all you need. When we arrived there was a lovely plate with cheese and smoked ham, a bottle of wine and tomatoes. Thank you very much for this present! The house is very big and has a great terrace with a huge barbecue. We spend most of the time on the terrace and cooled down in the sea which is only some metres away from the house. It would be even more fantastic if there would be sunbeds available. The sea is wonderful with very clear water and it is ideal for snorkeling. The beach is with shingles. On the island there is a small super market but the opening times are a little bit unreliable. Therefore it is important to buy food on the mainland. In the morning it is possible to buy bread in the bakery at the harbour. At the beach there is a bar and the owner George is a very nice guy. He also picked us up to bring our luggage by a small tractor to the house. It is not possible to drive with the car to the house due to the last streets are to narrow for a car and the access is across the beach. We had a very relaxed time at Drvenik Mali in Zlatkos fantastic appartement and we can definetivly recommend to stay there.

We (4 people) had a beautiful holiday on drvenik mali. Zlatko was very communicative and helpful in every case. The small house was clean and cosy and had everything we needed during our 10 days there. We where positively surprised by the amazing terrace with his solar shower. The beach, partly covered with stones on the outside and fine white sand in the water, is very close to the house and directly connected to a very nice beach bar. Shoutout! Shopping possibilities are very rear. We can recommend to buy your grocery in Trogir and bring it to the island. There are nice people who help you carrying your luggage in front of your doorstep. All in all very recommendable! Thank you Zlatko!

Really, really great! I could not believe that Zlatko didn't photoshopped the picture of the beach until I saw it with my own eyes!) The water is breathtaking and warm, the sand is soft and it is so very close to the house! The house itself just the right size for the family of four. It was very clean and cosy, we felt really comfortable there. You can find all possible amenities for cooking in the kitchen which was important especially considering the fact that you are on an island)) One more nice thing is that Zlatko left a basket of local foods for us to try which we enjoy as well. Highly recommend Zlatko as a guest and this house as well! We'll be back!!!!)

Me, my husband and two small kinds went to Zlatko's house and just loved it! It's near the beach which is very comfortable when having small children. Also the sand in the sea is perfect for learning to swim, my kids adored that! We looked up for peaceful holiday by ourselves, remote from turistic places and with Zlatko's house just found what we searched for. Zlatko is also very kind and waited for us when we got lost to find the ferry, there was good communication through all the process. I want to go there again :-)

The house was really amasing: comfortable, clean and cosy! Me, my husband and our 3 kids felt there very quickly home! Close nice sandy beach, not too crowded, safe to play for small kids - perfect for a family! It was the best beach and the house that we stayed during our holiday in Croatie!!! We would definitely like to come back!!! Many thanks to the host for being so quickly responsive and caring!!! Irina
