Kenichi is a very open minded nice host who will make you feel at home instantly. In case you want to see both Motobu City and Ocean Expo Park this is your go to place. It was a very nice place clean and simple. Definitely a recommend especially if you are looking forward to meet other guests.
Our host was really kind. Though it is not fancy or well equipped guesthouse, but if you don't expect much, you will be satisfied with this price. He will help you as much as he can. You can hang out with other guests here. I met nice people and I got really good memory during the stay. I am sorry that I left too early and didn't say goodbye to our host Ken sang. Thanks.
Basic Guesthouse that can satisfy all of your basic needs, but don't expect too much more. I was in town for a wedding, traveling alone, so Kenichi's guesthouse worked for me. It is located right next to the Old Market in Motobu-Chō. It was tough to find the first night due to a lack of Japanese address to provide the taxi driver, but other than that it was a great location. It is also a 1 minute walk away from the most famous noodle shop in the area, which I can verify lived up to the fame. The rooms themselves are very modest - the bed is literally a thin mattress on top of a wooden board on the floor. There is no other furniture to speak of, which was ok for me but is something to consider. This is basically a place to book if you are only looking for a place to sleep; which was fine because there is plenty to do and see in the area. Though basic, everything was very clean. The same can be said for the shared bathroom. Kenichi himself was a great host! He was very helpful to me on a number of occasions over the course of only a 2 night stay. You can rent his personal bike for 300 yen/day, and while the bike isn't anything special, it was a convenient and fun way to explore the area. Thank you Kenichi!!
