Valerie is a very kind and welcoming host. She was very quick to respond to any communications and easy to deal with. She was at the property to welcome us, when we arrived.
There was no hot water for the first 24 hours. However, Valerie arranged for it to be fixed as soon as possible. The house is gorgeous. It is charming and authentic, with beautiful furniture.
The location is perfect for a visit to Sancerre. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, sights etc and the neighbourhood is very quiet.
We enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard and our children loved the cave below!
Our criticism of the house is that it felt unclean and cluttered. It was obviously a beautiful home, but it needs a thorough clean. There were old shoes etc in the wardrobes, dirty kitchenware and lots of spiders / cobwebs. There was rotten food in the fridge also, which is not a bit deal, but also not very pleasant.
Sancerre is a beautiful place to visit and we enjoyed our stay.
