My apartment is bright and cozy with a great view. The location is great, it´s downtown and near to many restaurants, coffeehouses, family-friendly activities and nightlife. My apartment is good for couples, solo adventures, business travelers, and families (with kids). Supermarket is also near by and the Hof Culture Society - Reykjavik bus stop (all 2-5 min. walk).

Karen's apartment is centrally located and very stylish decorated. We felt very comfortable there. It was modern, clean and light. Definitely recommend it.

Really stylish two storey, two bed apartment right by the Main Street in town (5 minute stroll) but still super chilled and quiet. Karen had left it beautifully clean and tidy for us but still homely and we enjoyed a two night stay as a base for Husavik and Godfoss.

Karen was a great host. Her apartment is bright, well designed and well equipped with everything you'll need. The location is great, very central. I recommend staying here to visit Akureyri.

Karen's place is a great place to stay in Akureyri. She has wonderful taste and has made the place both stylish and comfortable, our only regret was not being able to stay longer as her apartment was in such high demand. Both bedrooms provided a great nights sleep and the living room/kitchen was a great place to relax. It was lovely to sit back and look at the views outside the window.

Karen's house is just as adorable as it is in the photos. I was actually really inspired by her design aesthetic and am motivated to bring some elements and styling techniques into my own home :) We had a check-in situation that Karen swiftly amended which I appreciated. The house is quiet and in a residential area, but we were pleased it's still within walking distance to restaurants and shops in town. One note: the host lives in the house which was not an issue--it was kept extremely tidy and considerate to guests, personal effects were stowed and out of sight--but I wanted to make note in case that's not the experience future travelers are looking for.

Karen's apt. is neat, clean and very bright with lots of windows on main floor. We were 4 adults and the living and dining areas were roomy. The common stairwell was rundown, with no light fixture (wires dangling from ceiling where it had been removed) and the smoke detector here was open with no battery. Karen responded to our concerns and said her neighbour was working on hallway repair. Smoke detector in one bedroom, but not in the other. A detector had been removed from 2nd floor hall ceiling outside bedroom. Ceiling lights not working in the kitchen--Karen did come by with replacement light bulb for a burnt out bulb in one bedroom. We enjoyed our stay but had concerns for safety and thought Karen's attention to details was lacking. (2 wall clocks didn't work, no welcome book, had to call to get wifi code.....)

Karen was super responsive and helpful in booking process and while we were there. Good location - walked to everything downtown. The apartment building itself (outside entrance and hallways) is rather run-down and hallways smelled awful. Karen's place (inside) was super clean, but very steep and narrow stairs and low ceilings were a bit difficult to navigate, especially for my 6-foot-plus partner.
