My grandparents created this mother-in-law suite for my great grandma in the 1970's. It's a great little apartment (about 500 square feet) with private entrance and parking right outside your door.
Wi-Fi reaches the lake. You're welcome to use the fire bowl by the lake, and the pier. There's a picnic table outside of your door.
Short walking trails on the property. Longer walking/snowshoe trails across the street at Trees for Tomorrow Education Center. Even longer walks/hikes at Nicolet National Forest, a 10 minute drive away.
We try to make it feel like you're visiting a friend's cabin, and so the kitchen has supplies for cooking basic meals, and entertainment such as board games and art supplies, and little nicities like binoculars.
If you plan on using the kitchen, see the house manual to know more about what is supplied and stocked. For example coffee, coffee maker, etc are supplied, but not cream or creamer.
We also try to have some supplies you may have forgotten, such as shampoo and bug spray, and supplies sane people would never think of, like pine sap remover.
Apartment with private entrance.
Fire bowl by the lake, fish from the pier, picnic table.
Parking for 2 vehicles, right outside your door.
Interaction with guests
You won't have interaction with us, unless you seek it out. Keypad entry.
My dad lives on the premises, in a different part of the house. He'll leave a note for you with with his contact info so you can call or text him if there's anything you need. You're always welcome to connect with me, of course, also.
Dad's is a genial guy, but good about not talking your ear off. If you *do* want to get him started, ask him about the history of the area. :)
Other things to note
In the spring and early summer we limit activity down by the lake because we often have nesting loons. (There are binoculars in the apartment if you'd like a closer look.)
Once they are off the nest, by mid-June, we can have fires, fish off of the pier, and generally make noise down there.
I'm trying to show my dad how great Air B&B is, and so just common courtesies are appreciated.
No non-guests. Only registered guests may use the property (indoor or outdoor).
Thanks for your help.
If you are looking at renting our flat in Madison, you'll be communicating with Sean and Jennifer. If you are hoping to stay at our suite in Eagle River, you'll be communicating with Jeremy and Jennifer.
Jenn: I garden, tinker in the garage, weld, and use the Oxford comma. I'm currently working on the woodwork in the house, and renovating a 1969 Trailblazer travel trailer.
Sean: is married to Jenn, woodworks, cooks, and works on construction projects. He's currently doing a deep cleaning out the house and garage because we have recently become empty nesters, and apparently have collected too much crap.
Jeremy: is Jenn's brother, a new dad, a tinkerer, and has a clean garage. I know you are jealous.
