Interaction with guests
I will meet the guest upon arrival, and will be near in case they need me. But the apartment is entirely for their use.

But if you don't need me for anything (and I try to give you everything so you don't) then I am not even an afterthought.
Siem Reap River Front and only a few kilometers from the famous Angkor Wat.
You can't compare to this location. This apartment is in a nice, quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. It is close enough to everywhere you want to be but set back in a pocket just enough to not have the downtown chaos and safety issues.
Just out of the building, guests can enjoy a jog or a walk along the paved bank of Siem Reap River. The road along the river is shaded by tall century old trees runs alongside the river all the way to the heart of the City. It's a 9min bike ride or a 6min Tuk-Tuk (Moto Remorque) ride. The route is dotted with garden cafe, restaurants, craft centers, local markets, convenience and laundry shops, schools, pagodas, etc.
Public transportation is available to every direction.

General advice: Siem Reap is hot and walking around everywhere all the time is not needed as we have Tuk-Tuks - the semi-enclosed trailer - offering a comparatively pleasant ride. And very easy to find. Just step to the curb and they will find you. For short trips around town, you are expected to pay $3. Bargain! Full day rates for transportation to the temples $15-20$/day. Additional charge for distant temples.
Alternatively, you can rent a bicycle or a motorbike – available in place.
There is also a shop around the corner, that rents electrical bikes for 10$ a day.
Other things to note
Siem Reap is a great city to explore and fall in love with, but some simple tips can make it so much easier!
There’s a 90 percent level of dollarization in Cambodia. What this means is that you don’t need to be concerned about getting riel when you arrive in the Country. Dollar bills are accepted everywhere (with exception of two-dollar note) until they are not worn. Cambodian riel trades at 4,000 riels to the US dollar.
Cambodia is a country that is steeped in religion. The majority of the population is Buddhist and has an enormous respect for their religion. In return, as visitors to this beautiful country, we need to respect the population.
We can do this by dressing appropriately in the streets and particularly when visiting the temples. Women need to cover their shoulders and their knees. Gentlemen should wear T shirts and not singlets.
Overt displays of affection are not recommended and can be embarrassing for Khmer people.
When entering a private home or a pagoda, shoes should be removed and when in the presence of a monk a woman should refrain from physical contact and any offerings placed down to be picked up independently or passed by a male.
It is a sign of disrespect to touch another person on the head.
The children are incredibly friendly and love to have their photo taken but it is respectful to ask both children and adults before becoming snap happy. We urge you not to give to children begging or trying to sell to you. If you wish to donate to a worthy cause that will benefit the right people in the right way, please speak to management and this can be arranged.
There is no smoking tobacco (cigarettes or cigars) in the apartment, although you can smoke on the balcony.
Electricity and water are metered and are not included in the price! There is a “You pay as you consume" policy. Guest is responsible for paying all electric and water allocated to the Unit. Guest agrees to be charged 0.25$ per kilowatt per Hour (kWh) of electricity and 0.63$ per cubic meter (m3) of water use by the Guest. Guest shall pay for the electricity and water services to the Host at Check-out.
Weekly cleaning (10$) is mandatory for stays that are more than seven days long. It includes a linen changing.
Pets of any kind or nature shall not be allowed in the Unit.
The Guest shall not operate any unlawful or prohibited business during the term of the stay and shall be held legally responsible for any consequence of doing so.
The Guest shall be responsible and pay for any damage to Premises property and the building resulting from the Guest (damage resulting from force majeure which is not covered by normal insurance excepted) including but not restricted to fire damage, or any destruction during the term of the stay.
Guest agrees that Host/Landlord shall not be liable for any claims for death or injury to person or damages or destruction of property sustained by Guest or by any other person on the Premises not resulting from Host/Landlord's own fault or negligence. Guest shall be liable for the acts of Guest. Furthermore, the Guest shall indemnify the Host/Landlord from any law suits arising from the Guest's activities on the Premises.
Other house rules:
The quiet enjoyment of other tenants shall not be interfered with.
Sounds. odors and light which are annoying to other tenants are not allowed.
Smoking is not permitted in hallways.
All flammable or dangerous items may not be kept or stored in the Unit.
Nothing shall be placed on or attached to the fire escapes, windows, doors or in the hallways or common areas.
Elevator is to be used by Guest only. Guest is not to leave any garbage trash and/or debris in the elevator.
Common Areas: Host may give Guest use of pool, parking, fitness center or other areas, the use of which will be at Guest's own risk.
