We appreciate your review no matter how negative it was. According to 67 other reviews our room is very clean as well as the rest of our house. Our iRobot Roomba cleans all bedrooms every day in the addition we do a floor mop before every new guest and after they leave.
The bed sheets are washed and replaced after each guest’s visit. All our previous reviews witnessed and swore to that. The only reason we believe you are slandering our listing is because you got the bedsheets and the mattress topper dirty with a blood stain that you refused to pay the dry cleaning fee to remove when you were asked to. You claimed that our bed corners were dangerous and injured your partner’s knee. And you were trying to hold us and our bed responsible for it. This bed is a standard US bed, it is similar to pretty much everybody in the United States. I did not know that adults needed child proof beds.
In regards to the house rules, people like yourself are the reason why we do not allow others to eat in the bedroom. If you refused to pay for dry cleaning a blood stain you left on the sheets then you would’ve definitely refused to pay for dry-cleaning a food stains.
You should feel lucky that we were thoughtful enough to place a mini fridge in the bedroom for our guests’ convenience, most Airbnb hosts will barely give you a shelve in their fridge.
You were trying to make our listing look bad with your negative review but all I could see was a well planned and organized listing from what you mentioned.
I wish you were as good in reading as you are in writing, otherwise you would’ve read that our listing does not offer parking on premises but street parking only which is abundant in our neighborhood. On the first night you booked at 10 PM and it was already late, for that reason and out of courtesy we allowed you to park in our driveway but that does not mean that you have the right to park there every night of your stay. I am definitely not going to sacrifice my garage for your comfort, especially that I drive an electric car that needs to be charged overnight. Next time before you book another listing make sure to read everything listed.
In addition, we do mention having a dog on premises, most of the reviews mention her and talk about how nice and lovely she is. If your partner is terrified of dogs you should’ve booked another place.
By slandering our listing, you are calling every one of the 67 people who positively reviewed us liars. Nonetheless, Airbnb who nominated us superhosts based on our guests votes and reviews.
Even the guests who stayed right after you left review saying “Very pleasant and clean space. Would definitely recommend. ” I guess they are liars too? Right?
Hosting you was the biggest mistake, I hope other hosts take notice of the review I left on your profile and avoid hosting you to avoid a huge headache.
PS: when we ask guests not to eat in the bedroom it does not mean that they have to walk out if they want to eat a piece of fruit or a yogurt, but it means that you are not allowed to take a to go meal and eat it in the bedroom. That is exactly what the dining room is for.
Last but not least, my wife felt very uncomfortable with the way you stared at her and her friend. When she came home she nodded at you and smiled, greeting you, in return you looked at her with a blank face while you were eating, you continued to eat without acknowledging her. How is it OK for a woman to feel uncomfortable in her own house? She felt awkward because of you. Was I home at the time and known about it, I would’ve asked you to leave. The lady of the house should never feel unwelcome in her own house, you should take a lesson in manner about the way people treat their hosts.
