On the beach! Die Vissershuisie is a romantic three bedroomed cottage built in the traditional west coast style. Each of the bedrooms is en-suite & has a queen size bed. There is a large living area with full DSTV & a wood burning stove. Please note that you may only use wood (no charcoal ) in the stove. Pse bring your own wood. Stacking doors open onto a patio with a braai (barbeque) & gorgeous sea views - ideal for alfresco dining.

The space
It's on the beach - the cottage is private with "your own personal beach" in front of the house ( it feels like it) The direct translation for DIE VISSERSHUISIE is The Fishermans Cottage and the house is built in the traditional West Coast style with a huge open fire place in the living area. However please note that the open fire place does not work well if it is very windy. There is also a wood burning stove in the living area.

We love the beautiful valley that we live in in the Magaliesberg and the contrast of our amazing beach house in Paternoster - when our guests feel the same we are happy! Our belief in the soil started us on a path of working to live our lives as sustainably as is reasonably possible & we delight in being nearly self sufficient from a food point of view on our farm near Magaliesburg. When we're in Paternoster we go for long beach walks & nearly always end up at one of the amazing restaurants! Paternoster is a quaint town withWe also love cooking, travelling, good movies & opera!

We do not live in Paternoster and unfortunately we will not be able to meet any of our guests. However Sanet Langenhoven, owner of Paternoster Rentals in Paternoster, is our agent and she and/or her staff will meet you on arrival and will look after you. They are all very accommodating and will ensure that you have a pleasant stay. Please make them aware of any assistance required and/or problems you may experience while staying in our house.
