Edward Abbey would be proud of this beautiful little casita on a 5 acre ranch which borders virgin Sonoran Desert as far as the eye can see. Right at the foot of the Santa Rita Mountains you can hike until your heart is content, gaze at an amazing amount of stars and the Milky Way on a cool desert night, and see roadrunners run right through the yard. Feel free to fly into Flying Diamond Airpark (3000'runway) and taxi right into your own hangar here in the ranch. The Casita is warm and spacious.

The Casita is comfortable, has a nice and functional kitchen, and is in beautiful desert surroundings. Diana and family were available to help with whatever I needed, though I found the Casita to have everything in place for my stay. The drive to town is beautiful, though it does take a healthy 45 minutes. If you are looking for quiet, tons of stars and a real Sonoran desert surrounding, the Casita is a great choice.

Diana was a wonderful host. Her casita is in a secluded area which allows for quiet days and night. It also allows for great mornings of listening to birds and watching rabbits wander the yard. Diana made the check in easy and informative. Being able to hike out your back door is wonderful. Getting to the casita is an easy trip from the Tucson airport. We will certainly stay with Diana on our next trip to Tucson.

Diana and Jared were wonderful hosts. Great people who were very responsive to our needs. My husband and I both spend a fair amount of time on the computer and the speed wasn't quite as good as we had hoped. So they even went so far as to put in a dedicated Wi-Fi line to the casita! That is primo service and we greatly appreciated it! The casita was clean and neat and Diana left lots of treats and drinks for us. Thank you! We loved being out from town where we took long walks in the desert and heard the coyotes and owls at night. The long road to town is a bit of a deterrent if you travel it frequently (almost daily for us.) So just keep that in mind, it takes about 20 minutes as half of it is bumpy, dirt and all of it is a winding road and there are a couple of gates to pass through. But that is country life! Their 2 dogs are great and kept us company when Diana and Jared were off at work.

If you like a quiet relaxed place to stay this is it, but also for day trips, it is an excellent place if you don't mind the 12 miles desert drive to I 19. We loved the place and Diana and Jared were great hosts They were friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Not to forget the treats they gave us. We would recommend this place if you are in the Tucson area. Thank you so much Diana, Jared and kids.

My Husband and I have traveled around the world and stayed with a lot of great hosts. Now that we bought a house in a place we love (Tucson Az), we are excited about being the great hosts. We love the Sonoran desert and the culture and wild life of the area. We have done our best to represent some of the best the area has to offer when we landscaped and decorated the Casita.
