This was our first AirBnB experience and probably won't be our last. We only had 1 night on a stopover mini break but it was still a great place. We wanted somewhere near Harry Potter studios, which is 30mins away. Julia was really good with communicating beforehand how to find the place and what to do with parking etc. The cottage itself is really quirky and also had enough stuff for us to make dinner (the shop at the end of the road has everything you need). We even enjoyed a beer in the garden when we arrived as the weather was so nice. A local cat enjoyed sitting in the garden too As Julia says this really is a 'home from home'

What a beautiful house. Very quaint and Julie was so kind and left us croissants on arrival. Great communication and I will definitely recommend to anybody who wants to visit Betchley. Thank you so much ps where did you get your rugs from?

Lovely little cottage in a good location for local walks and activities further a field. The village has a local shop, cafe, pub, play park and takeaway. The people were all very friendly. The cottage has useful information in a folder about places to visit, and the guest book also lets you know where others have gone.

I stayed in Julia's lovely cottage for 10 nights, with my daughter and our two dogs. The cottage was perfect for our needs and it was so nice to have our own space that we could relax in, rather than staying in a soulless hotel chain. We really appreciated the homemade cake, tea, coffee, milk, bread and cereals that Julia left for us and we were surprised at how well stocked the cottage was which meant that we could self-cater if we wanted rather than having to eat out. There is a village shop at the end of the road which sells almost everything we needed and there is a lovely tearoom round the corner and various local pubs in the vicinity when we did not want to cook. The cottage was perfectly located for Whipsnade Zoo, St Albans, Oxford and Milton Keynes and there were a number of great country walks right on the doorstep. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the local area again.

A comfortable cottage with a lot character. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, the owner was more than accommodating, supplying a travel cot, allowing use of children's toys, cereals and a banana cake provided on arrival. The street is narrow and parking spaces were limited in the evening, but we were able to find spaces further up the street or around the corner. Fully recommended.

Response from Julia:
Hi Paul. Your feedback is much appreciated. It is a joy to know the children are playing with the toys, using the garden and tucking into my homemade cake! Thanks for booking and being such fine guests.
