My place is close to wonderful swimming holes, just down the road from the Dartmouth Outing club at Mooselauke. (5 minutes). This rustic and relaxing camping area is only 20 minutes to Lincoln/ Woodstock attractions, and is an excellent base camp for rock climbers looking to send a few routes over in Rumney. Live music every weekend at a very earthy eatery, The Greenhouse, just 10 minutes away. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).

The space

Come sleep next to the babbling Baker River. My rustic retreat is the perfect spot for those looking for a true White Mountains experience.

Guest access

You are welcome to enjoy your camping area and direct access to the Baker River. Please do respect other guest buildings on the property.

Interaction with guests

I've lived here almost my entire life, save for a few years tearing up the slopes in Colorado, and traveling through Europe. I'm just as happy to share local tips as I am to let you enjoy simple solitude.

We had a great time! There is enough space for a tent. This was a very private space, and falling asleep next to the river was awesome.

Simple place. Private. Just as advertised. I loved the screened in small lean-to. No bugs! (Or at least some hope) and simpler than camping. Didn't meet Eric and there was no firewood, because he was away but this wasn't an issue as communication was great and it was easily purchased. It rained most of our visit but we had a great time. The river rushing and full with the rain. The swimming holes a short walk were amazing. Ps. There is a road visible from the site - again not intrusive just helpful to know re: wandering dogs.

Perfect trip! The location is just incredible. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was amazing. We hiked Mt. Moosilauke while we were there, it was only a short drive away. Perfect outdoor getaway, highly recommended.

The mention of "private room" mislead me. I believe it is a nice place for who likes camping in the wilderness. Remember to bring all your lodging needs as only the ground is provided.

Great space to camp, relax, recharge, and getaway. Minutes from hiking trails. River view. Eric's lean-to and camp site is perfect. We will be returning!

My friend and I had a great stay at the lean-to! Our area was nice and private, and there was a fire pit ready to go. Despite a bit of rain, we stayed completely dry in the cozy shelter. We loved listening to the rushing water all night. Eric was kind and welcoming, and offered some great suggestions for trails. He also responded very promptly to all of the messages I sent him. We were the only guests on the property, so we bopped around to check out the other accommodations and they looked great too. Would certainly stay here again if I came back to the area, and would recommend it to others as well!
