Close to Terwilliger Hot Springs, Tamolitch Blue Pool and amazing waterfall hikes, this cute home on retired Ranger Station offers 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Easy access to the river that runs along the property edge. AC in living room.

This is a pet friendly cabin. Pets are $20 per pet per night. Please let us know if you are bringing pets. Host will charge this directly upon arrival.

The space

We are located in the heart of the McKenzie River Valley which is virtually an outdoor playground. We provide great accommodations without all the hype. It really is OK to sit back and relax and experience your agenda (Whatever that may be) at your own pace.

All of our cabins have living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchens, charcoal barbecues, television (cable access) and wireless internet service. There are two general stores in the area and two restaurants. Outside of that, we are fairly remote which leaves you plenty of access to peace and quiet not to mention plenty of adventure waiting for you outside your doorstep. I do live on property so if there is anything you need, please let me know and I will do everything I can to accommodate.

I like to make sure everyone gets checked in OK and I will probably stop by about 5 or 10 minutes after you get checked in to make sure everything is as you anticipated but outside of that, I plan on staying out of your way and letting you enjoy your vacation. Please don't think I've abandoned you in any way. We keep our phone number posted on the door to the office and it routes to my cell phone. I may not answer right away (if I'm off property) but rest assured I will get back to you as soon as I can if there is anything you need.

Blue River Oregon has 3 commercial businesses in town: There is the McKenzie River Mountain Resort, Meyer's General Store (liquor beer wine limited grocery and movie rental) and a gas station. About 5 miles up the road there is Blue Sky General Store, Takoda's Restaurant and Rustic Skillet Restaurant. Outside of that we are fairly remote so feel free to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.

There is public transit (bus) that travels from Eugene, Oregon to Blue River, Oregon and stops just steps from the McKenzie River Mountain Resort.

Pet Fees: We love dogs! Please note there is a $20 per pet, per night, fee for your furry friend. The fee helps offset wear and tear of an animal and the extra cleaning required for pet hair and pet dander.

This is a great place to bring the family or some friends who like to spend time in the outdoors. There was more to do than we could fit into our week. Plan on 15 minute to 45 minute drives to get you trailheads for waterfall hikes, reservoir swimming and boating. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable and clean. Mike (Chris' counterpart) was helpful and informative. The Blue river is a pristine, cold, shallow river which is a shortish walk down a path, across a not busy road. Good for wading on a hot day.

We stayed a full month and it was perfect for what we wanted. It's not modern or new but we either had all we needed or Chris and his staff got it for us. For example, we first arrived there was no washer and dryer but they got one put in pretty quickly. WiFi intermittent. One weekend our 2 of kids and their spouses, our 3 year old grandson and 3 extra dogs in addition to ours stayed and it was GREAT. Even with one bathroom! Fire pit smores, Weber grilled steaks and a full size kitchen! Very, very peaceful and quiet! The McKenzie River area is spectacular. We hiked, photographed waterfalls, played golf, and floated in our kayaks. Chris's place is the best bargain in the area.

Fantastic location! This is a more of "rustic" style accommodations compared to other mountain resort areas, but its proximity to great hiking, fishing, and biking cannot be beat.

A great place to stay when enjoying the McKenzie river! The house was very nice, breakfast was key, and the proximity to the river make this place a perfect spot to stay in Blue River when you're looking to do some rafting or fishing.

My family and I bought an old ranger station and remodeled it into a cozy resort! During the week I stay fairly busy with the resort, but when I can I like to go to Terwilliger Hot Springs or Sahalie Falls and Mountain Bike on the McKenzie River Trail. Tennis and Skiing are also some of my hobbies. I also enjoy spending time in Eugene and Bend.
