Redwood Studio is within easy walking distance to Guerneville's charming shops and restaurants. You’ll love the the serenity of the trees, sounds of the chickens, and the quiet friendly neighborhood. Eat breakfast at the base of an Old Growth Redwood. There is no stove in the small kitchenette, it has microwave, toaster oven, french press, kettle. Attached to our home, the 300 sq ft apartment has a private entrance, parking, and small deck. Armstrong Redwoods 2 miles Sonoma Coast 10 miles

The space
We found this beautiful place in 1985 and have lived here ever since. Located just a few blocks from Main Street but on a hill above town, the property has ancient redwoods and the Redwood Studio apartment is a the base of our biggest and oldest tree, probably more than 500 years old. Although easy walking down to town it feels like a world away. Our large rambling house was built around 1890. The 300 sq ft Redwood Studio was a separate apartment that we have recently renovated. We have really enjoyed sharing our space with visitors to the area.

Other things to note
Two is the maximum number of guest. There is no stove in the small kitchen but you will find all the basic essentials for preparing simple meals. There is a table withe 2 chairs, microwave, toaster oven, rice cooker, mini-frig, some cooking /storage pieces, French Press coffee maker, tea kettle and tea pot, dishes, glasses, cups, utensils, tea and coffee, sugar, olive oil and vinegar.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our charming, friendly neighborhood has an old cemetery at the top of the hill. Guerneville is an interesting old town full of galleries and shops. My favorite is the Guerneville 5 & 10. Excellent restaurants such as Boon and Brot. The treasured but long closed Bank building has been beautifully renovated and now houses an ice cream and pie shop and wine tasting room. You can walk to the river for fishing and in the summer for a swim. Two miles from the Studio is Armstrong Redwoods with gentle strolls or challenging hikes. The Russian River Valley holds many wineries for touring and the Sonoma Coast is just a beautiful drive along the river to the ocean.

We feel privileged to live in this gorgeous Russian River area. Sonoma County’s spectacular scenery gives us pleasure every day. There are magnificent redwoods on our property and I especially enjoy hiking at Armstrong Redwoods Park, only 2 miles from home. The incredible restaurants in west Sonoma County draw guests here and give us great pleasure. We bike our scenic trails and can kayak in the Russian River, walking distance from our home.
