Podere Pizzi is a beautiful stone farmhouse, nestled in a picturesque hillside and surrounded by unspoiled nature, while only being a 20 minute drive to the medieval city of Lucca.
The farmhouse has retained its original character and rustic charm inside and out, offering a genuine Tuscan experience. Podere Pizzi features a private salt water pool, games room and extensive outdoor dining and lounge areas, including a pretty balcony where you can watch the neighbours horses with scenic views.

The space
The entrance to the property is accessed via the sloped cobblestone pathway at the back of the house, which leads to the raised ground floor, as is common with many traditional farmhouses in the area.
The lowest level still remains the old cellar and is currently not utilised as living space.

The property boasts 5 bedrooms. 3 with double beds and 2 which can be configured as two single beds or two king sized beds depending on your needs.
2 of the double bed - bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, while the remaining bedrooms are located upstairs. Each bedroom is equipped with electric fans.

The property features an entrance foyer which leads to a pretty balcony with scenic views over the pool and grounds, the neighbours horses and the rolling hills beyond.
The ground level is also comprised of a well equipped family style kitchen with a large dining table that will seat 8 people comfortably.
The upper floor boasts a spacious living area, complete with a smart TV providing access to netflix.
Starlink WiFi is available throughout the entire property.

Outside Podere Pizzi features a good sized salt water pool, with sun loungers and a picnic table under the pergola.
Directly adjacent to the property is the barn area with a large open terrace, where you will find the barbecue, lounge seating and an extensive dining table enough for at least 10 people.
In addition to this, inside the barn we have a games room with a ping-pong table and football table, promising endless entertainment!

Guest access
The full house, private pool and grounds are at our guests disposal.

Other things to note
There are some steep steps within the property and low height windows on the upper floors. Outside, there is an elevated area without railings. Making it less suitable for toddlers, the elderly or those with limited mobility. There is also a cobbled walkway and a few steps to enter the main door. Unfortunately, we believe our property would not be suitable for guests who use a wheelchair.

The salt water pool is open from May 1st and closes on September 30th. It is not heated but gets to the perfect temperature in the summer months.

Also, Please be aware. As we are located in the Tuscan countryside, there will be small bugs on the property. Unfortunately we cannot control nature but we will however provide bug spray. If ever you run out of bug spray please contact your property manager and it will be replaced.

A city tax of 1.50 euro per person per day, (up to the first 7 days) will need to be paid on arrival and taken with a photo of ID to be given to the local commune and law enforcement.

We may allow some well behaved pets to accompany you. Please message us to discuss first.

Podere Pizzi is conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the small town of San Martino in Freddana. The towns amenities include; a supermarket, post office, pharmacy, bank and pizzeria. Several other fantastic restaurants are also within easy reach.

If you prefer dining in we can arrange for a chef to prepare a delicious meal for you at the house or even offer a cooking class using locally sourced ingredients.

Only a 20-minute drive away is the famous walled city of Lucca, with its enchanting blend of piazzas, medieval towers, historic churches, winding cobblestone streets, chic boutiques and award winning restaurants and bars.
Music enthusiasts will appreciate Lucca's connection to the famous composer Puccini and the world renowned Lucca summer festival.

Our closest airport is Pisa, approximately a 45-minute drive and Florence is just over an hour away.

We are also conveniently situated for exploring the Versilia beaches, including; Viareggio, Lido di Camaiori, Pietrasanta and the lovely Forte dei Marmi. All of which are between a 35minute and 50 minute drive away.

For those seeking an adventure, a day trip to the Cinque Terre is also within reach by car or train from Lucca.
