A great space for a get-together for families or friends, great views across the lake, surrounded by beautiful countryside and real step back in time to attractive surroundings, lanes for bikes and walks, nature trails for the kids PLUS access to an indoor heated pool, plus gym and spa! Bring your bikes and get out into the fresh air!!

The space

Set on the edge of the lake and with views across the lake, The Sorrell is a great choice for a large group or family. The house is spread across three floors, with the main living and kitchen area on the top floor with super views. Each floor as an enclosed deck area (from a large sliding doors) which means you can safely enjoy the "outside inside" if you wish.
All bedrooms look towards the water, with two having an amazing terrace reaching over the lake! If you're the active sort, you can walk to the pool in 5 mins or you can simply walk the area and take in the beautiful, natural environment, which really is stunning.

Second Floor
Open plan living area with ample space for up to 10 people.
Kitchen has good range of smart, white gloss units under a granite worktop. Built-in appliances to include gas hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer & fridge/freezer. Fully equipped to accommodate 10 guests. There is a separate Utility Room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The Living Area has a table and chairs for ten, access to the outdoor terrace; while the seating area has a sofa and additional seating plus a wood burner for the winter nights. There is a TV with freeview and DVD player. The open planned living space leads out onto the outside decking area. Gas BBQ and table & chairs seating 4.

Outside
The property has decked areas across each level, with seating on each. It is a detached building with views right across the water. There is parking for one car with additional nearby. The area is, of course, surrounded by lakes/water. You have access included in your price for the spa and indoor and outdoor pools and gym. There is also a local shop and cafe within a 5 min walk too. Cycle paths and walks along various nature trails are-a-plenty and across private land. Beautiful and simply stunning.

Bed linen, towels, travel cot & highchair are provided, however guests must bring their own linen for the travel cot. Pets welcome.

Guest access

Guests have full access to the house. You will also be given passes to the spa/gym/pool which is unlimited and free. There are housekeeping services on site to assist in any problems or questions.
Parking is nearby and easy.

I work for Manor Cottages! We are a boutique cottage agency specialising in holiday properties in the Cotswolds and Bath region, an area about 1 -2 hours to the west of London (depending on where you are travelling to of course). We visit and and check all of our cottages and in many cases actually manage them too. Either way, you can be certain of the standard and style and description of the property being of a high standard and if it is more basic then we'll make sure you know this.
We're friendly, we're approachable and (of course) we're based in the area so we know it like the back of our hands. What we're not, however, is a large multi-national company stuck in a call centre with thousands of cottages - you will be pleased to know.
Finally you'll be pleased to know that any property we advertise really exists! Not that we're pointing fingers at anyone out there, but we do get to hear of some horror stories of cottages not existing when a customer arrives..... imagine that.
Anyway, we are here to help you and help you get the cottage holiday you want and are looking for.
