Just a short block from the beach. Comfortably fits two, but can fit four with a queen bed and Hida-A-Bed sofa queen size.

Description

The space

Our comfortable one bedroom duplex house has a true beach feel. It is located on the corner of Vista Del Mar and Kolmar close by the ocean in Wind N Sea with many attractions around. Not even a block from the beach you will see the beautiful Pacific Ocean and hear the waves crashing. Comfortably fits three but can fit four with a queen bed and a sofa queen size bed !

Guest access

Entire unit - living area, bedroom, kitchen, bath, back yard with a fireplace, and chairs, parking in front of garages in driveway or on streets.

Interaction with guests

I am close by. I will be available to guests during most of the day. Feel free to contact me.

The neighbourhood

The famous Wind N Sea area of La Jolla. Surf or watch surfers and the waves crashing on the beach. Sometimes observe weddings on the beach there.

Getting around

MTS bus route just one block away on La Jolla Blvd and Gravilla; bus line #30.

NOISE AND CONDUCT:
Quiet hours shall be from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. when Occupant/s shall not make or allow any excessive noise in or around the unit that may disturb other persons or neighbors.
Occupant/s shall not make or allow any excessive noise in the unit, nor permit any actions, which will interfere with the rights, comforts, quiet enjoyment, or conveniences of other persons or neighbors.
Occupant/s and guests of occupants shall refrain from playing musical instruments, television sets, stereos, radios, and any other entertainment or equipment at a volume of which would disturb other persons or neighbors.
Occupant/s shall refrain, and shall ensure that occupant’s guests likewise refrain, from activities and conduct outside of the unit (in common areas, parking areas, or recreation facilities), which is likely to annoy or disturb other persons or neighbors.

CLEANLINESS AND TRASH:
Occupant/s shall keep the unit clean, sanitary and free from objectional odors at all times.
Occupant/s shall place cigarette butts and trash in appropriate receptacles to prevent litter around the unit or in common areas.
Occupant/s shall not allow trash, garbage and/or other useless materials to accumulate in or around their unit, or in the common areas. Occupant/s shall use the trash containers provided for that purpose on a regular basis. Failure to do so could cause a hazard or violation of health, fire or safely ordinances and/or regulations.
If more than one trash container are on site, Occupant/s shall not overload one if there is room in another container.
Occupant/s shall not dispose of any used vehicle oil, combustible or hazardous materials in trash containers on site.
Occupant/s shall refrain from leaving bicycles, surf boards, play equipment or other articles in the stairways or other common areas. Recreational items are to be used in designated areas only.
Trash containers shall be replaced the next day to their designated spots on the driveway’s edge by Occupant/s.

SAFETY AND SECURITY:

Occupant/s should lock all doors, windows, or sliding glass doors and turn off all appliances (except refrigerator) before leaving the unit.

Smoking in the unit is forbidden. Please be advised that smoking in the unit may cause damage to its interior surfaces. Occupant/s will be responsible for any such damage.
A responsible adult must supervise Occupant’s children and/or children of guests on the premises at all times.
For fire emergencies, call 911.
Occupant/s shall refrain from making any repairs, alterations, or improvements to the unit without the written consent of Owner/Agent. Occupant/s shall refrain from attaching anything to the walls and shall be liable for the cost of any repairs necessary during or after residency to restore premises to its original check-in condition.
Occupant/s shall wash sand off of their body or equipment from the beach with the hose outside and shall not wash sand down the drains in the unit. Costs of repair or clearance of stoppages in waste pipes or drains, water pipes or plumbing fixtures caused by negligence or improper usage are the responsibility of the Occupant/s. Payment for corrective action must be paid on demand.

PARKING:
Occupant/s can park vehicles in the driveway in the back of the property in front of the garages. The garages are not available for use and shall remain locked at all times.

Location location location. Less than half a block from the beach. You can hear the waves all night long. Very therapeutic. Place is clean but the bathroom definitely needs an update. The bathroom door needs to be fixed (can't really close it) and the sink had a weird smell coming from it. There were also spiders :( Overall great place. Check in and out was easy. You're paying for the location.

This is a prime location with a great view. You can hear the ocean from anywhere in the house! Certainly not a luxury accommodation on the inside but perfect for a weekend by the water.

My best friend and I stayed here for our first vacation with our own money. For that fact, it was great! We were both used to like 4 star resorts and obviously this was not what we were used to. The location made everything okay! We could walk two seconds to watch the sunset every night and we could hear the waves in the house at all times! It was very beautiful outside! Inside was quaint. I was most inconvenienced by the lack of a fixed doorknob to the bathroom, we couldn't ever fully close the door! Also, we found multiple big spiders inside and the fire alarm went off every time that we attempted to cook. Harry is a good host and I'd recommend this house for the location!

This lodging is truly in need of an upgrade. Practically everything is falling apart. It is highly unsecure, with windows falling apart and door locks flimsy. Most windows have no screens. A dozen notes around the apartment tell the user DO NOT TOUCH or DO NOT USE. Rust and disrepair are pervasive. The carpet in the living room and bedroom is extremely filthy. Extremely minimal equipment in the kitchen makes for using it almost laughable, cabinets and drawers full of junk. Every light fixture has bulbs out and the bedroom light was intermittent. The shower curtain doesn't close all the way. It is apparent the absolute minimal effort is put into maintaining this property. Luckily we read previous reviews and came equipped with mattress pads, sheets, pillows, and things we knew we needed for cooking and preparing food. Literally the ONLY redeeming element is the proximity to the ocean, which is one block away.

Location is ideal. Right next to the beach. It was a great value as you'd easily pay twice as much or more to hear and see the ocean from your front window. Convenient for families with kids as there are all of the essential amenities and a full kitchen. It was clean and ready upon arrival and the communication from Harry was great. It's not the Four Seasons if you're the uppity sort but the combination of location and price are unbeatable.

This place is great for a budget friendly place that is so close to the ocean. We have found a new place to go to when we visit California. We could see the ocean from our window and hear the waves crashing while we slept. The only con is that the house is a little out dated but clean. My kids loved that we were walking distance from the beach.
