My home is close to Lewis-Clark State College, SJRMC, Downtown Lewiston, the levee bike and walking trails. You’ll love my cottage because of it's location on Normal Hill, an older section of the city. Guests can enjoy breakfast on the patio from May to September. My home is good for a couple, friends or siblings traveling together, but guests must be able to navigate stairs because the bedroom is in the basement, perfect for a quiet night's sleep.

The space
The bedroom is in the basement, cool in the hot summer, decorated with my mother's quilts. Guests can read and relax in an antique rocking chair. The basement bathroom has heated tile floors and laundry facilities guests can use. My sewing room in the basement doubles as a small kitchenette; computer work space, and dining space.

Where you’ll be

Lewiston, Idaho, United States

Old mansions and small cottages make the Normal Hill area a desired residential area. My home is near the high school and the young voices delight me, especially when then cheerleaders or marching band practices for local parades.

I am retired and love the outdoors, especially gardening, hiking and biking. I also enjoy my extended family and traveling with my sisters. I appreciate getting to know people and believe sharing a room is a great way to experience the city and its people. I like to read and learn about other cultures. I appreciate good, local, home-made, slow food and always like a glass of wine when two or more people are gathered. My life motto is to love God and love others.

During your stay

I am retired, but participate in lots of volunteer activities. I love mornings and awake early for prayer time with a cup of coffee, followed by a walk on the levee or around the neighborhood. I enjoy visiting with people and might be available in the evening to share a glass or wine or a light meal.
