A home away from home. The apartment is on the fifth floor of a quiet block of flats, 5 minutes (300m) from the district's center and the Metro station (Panormou station) which takes you directly to Athens down town or the airport. It is cozy and shiny.
The neighborhood (Ampelokipi - Panormou) is a typical Greek 70's middle-class area that slowly converts to a lively, multicultural, on the outskirts of Athens center, touching the uphill suburbs on the other side.
You have a private entrance so you're free to come and go any time you choose. You will be using the (small) half of the apartment which is separated from the rest with sliding doors, so you will have as much privacy as you would like. The kitchen (that we'll be sharing) has also doors on both entrances.
It goes without saying that you will find enough closets and draws at your disposal.
Other things to note
I speak only French, my English is poor.
Therefor upon your arrival I'll give you a brief tour around the house and have Spiros (a helper and supporter explain the details and technical issues (hot water, internet access etc.)
He is the person to answer every "where", "what", "how" etc. He will be within reach, not 24/7 though. He could also be a guide and driver if you specify this in advance. There is extra fee for that.
I may speak on the phone for quite a long time.
Please treat the house with respect. I expect you to follow basic hygiene and cleanness. I also expect to not enter into private areas and/or open forbidden closets and draws.
Quiet hours: 15:00 to 17:30 (siesta hours) and midnight to 7:00am
Please turn the lights and air condition off when you go out, lock the door if you will be away for long. Do not let in any strangers. When inside use the door safe, never leave the keys on.
I am not a smoker but I respect your right to smoke in your own room. Please, when do so close the doors and open a window.
No heavy drinking allowed.
For my peace of mind, I would appreciate it if you could -in some way- keep me informed mainly about late night returns.
Guests (e.g. friends of yours) may be allowed in the house only after discussion.

I'll treat you as my guests. I will occasionally make you the morning coffee, serve some homemade deserts, even cook dinner sometime. I will gladly provide you with whatever extra you may need inside the house, towels, sheets, slippers, iron, washing machine, extra pillows and blankets, just ask.
I'm almost 80 years old, energetic but slow, accommodating and responsive. And hospitable. I 'll be around to help where I can, but I will also respect people's need for space and privacy. I speak French and I make great Greek coffee.
