- No showers. Instead we have hot flannel wash kits and fluffy towels in the hut (and a hot flannel wash guide for newbies)
- No WIFI. There is great 4G signal though if you want stream movies.
- No access to the hot tub unless booked separately. This is £70 and includes use of the hot outdoor shower. The tub can be used from 12noon Friday - 12noon Sunday only. Due to covid restrictions we have a 72 rest period in place.
- No lighting to the yurt. This is because there is lots of owls and bats here and the lights make it hard for them to hunt.
- No stone path to the yurt. It is through a field with long grass. Welly boots are needed to avoid wet feet/ legs.

EXTRAS YOU CAN RENT via the farm website (Coming mid September)

- Hot tub and outdoor shower - private use available. £70. Book via the farm website. (To be covid safe the hot tub is closed to anyone else for 72 hours before and after you use it.)

We're a working farm that is not open to the public. It is not safe or permitted to wander about without a guide. To see more of the farm you can book a farm experience via our website. Choose between:

- Working Sheepdog Demo: Meet the dogs, watch them working and learn about the history of the working dog from our most experienced handler - and of course - pats and cuddles at the end. 45 minutes. £20
- Eggcellent egg production eggsperience: Learn about how free range laying poultry are farmed. Collect the eggs with one of our farm hands, feed the birds and learn to use the egg grader to sort the eggs ready for sale. 45 mins. £10
- Goat meet and bleat: Meet our meat goat herd of #goatsonzoom fame - celebrity goats who have been on the BBC, ITV and in all the national and local newspapers (and some international papers, too!) made famous from joining the countries zoom meetings through lockdown. We will tell you the tale of how goats on zoom became a thing, teach you about the Boer goat breed, feed them and enjoy some time in the pens with the goats - they're very affectionate and love a fuss and a stroke. 45 mins. £15.
- Beerilliant beehive tour: We will get you kitted up in a bee suit and take you to see our hives. You can see inside and learn about the basics of how we care for our honey bees. 1 hour. £30 per person.
- Goat Yoga - a 90 minute Goats and Yoga bit of nuttiness. Do yoga. But in a goat pen. £25 per person.

The perfect simple escape for folks wanting to get away from it all and live the simple. Uninterrupted time where you can truly enjoy each others company.

Hello! Welcome to Cronkshaw Fold Farm, an hour North of Manchester, England. We (Dot - that's me - I run the farm, my small team of awesome farm staff and my retired parents - a farmer and a computer engineer) have a handful of unique, quirky accommodations here which are helping us earn additional revenue through having guests to stay. We are saving up for solar panels, a wind turbine, switching out diesel farm machinery for electric and converting our current farming practices to lower carbon alternatives. Every penny you spend here helps us reach these goals quicker, so thank you for considering us. Our aim is that guests here can have as low an environmental impact as possible when holidaying with us. From washing bed linens in eco-only detergents purchased from our local single use plastic free shops (of which we are lucky enough to have TWO!) to upcycling all the accommodation furniture, fixtures and fittings. We do everything we can think of to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We’re currently working on installing Tesla charging points for our guests so those with electric cars can easily charge on site, too. Choose from our Shepherd's Hut, The Old Farm Office, Coven Treehouse and Alden Woodland Yurt. We also have a spring water filtered hot tub that can be booked separately as can breakfast hampers, farm tours and more. Nosey at us online by searching 'Cronkshaw' if you want to find out more about our farm.

My elderly retired farming parents live at the farm so with covid in mind - please do not attempt to find us/ knock on at the farm house as they are shielding. Give us a call and we will answer questions/come and meet you to resolve any queries. No question too small - we want you to have a fabulous time so do contact us any time, day or night if you need help with anything. We will rock up with a mask on if we need to come in your accomodation to help you for whatever reason.
