About this listing
Luxury bedroom in top floor room (50m2/550sq ft) of a stunning listed Victorian house with a gorgeous private bathroom. You'll love this relaxed and quiet space with big windows on either side overlooking lush trees and gardens - and the privacy of a floor all to yourself! We are on a direct bus route to the town centre (12 mins, or 25 mins walking). The Victorian architecture and high ceilings in the house will capture you, as will the newly renovated slickness of the room and bathroom.
Luxurious top floor of a Victorian house - there's a king size bed, two sitting areas, a traditional desk and private bathroom with a big shower. You'll hopefully love this place because of the architecture, the high ceilings, the spacious bedroom, the stylish bathrooms (you are invited to use the huge bathtub in the bathroom on the first floor), and not to forget Millie, the lovely chocolate labrador. Pets are welcome to keep her company and can even be left in the garden if you're going out - the big garden is secure and has a dog shed. High-speed wifi is available in the room, and TV/DVD player are available downstairs. Help yourself to the kettle, tea and sugar in the room
Main door access (you will either be met by someone when you arrive or get the key in the key box). The living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, 1/F bathroom (including toilet, shower and bathtub), toilet on G/F, garden and driveway are available for guests. You may also use the TV and DVD player.
Interaction with guests
I am happy to provide information and recommendations but also happy to let you get on with it if you want a quiet time to yourself. Friendly respect of privacy is our motto.
The neighborhood is quiet, full of big old houses with beautiful gardens. The house is 12 minutes away by direct bus route to the centre of town and 3 minutes on foot from a big shopping centre, 10 minutes away from a wonderful walk (Millie's always available to show you if you want to take her out) along horse fields and in the forest, 15 minutes away from the top of Blackford Hill - the best view of Edinburgh in my view!
All the major bus routes to the centre of town are a couple of minutes away on foot.
Other things to note
There is a very friendly and calm female (neutered) chocolate labrador at the house - she spends here day in the garden and evening in the house, preferably on your lap.

I like traveling, visiting historic sites particularly in Scotland, spending time with my friends and Millie my dog, sunshine (of which we don't get enough in Edinburgh!), helping people discover new things and learning how to discover people. Brunch and coffee.
