Alexander's place is in a great location - quiet street, but one block away to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, etc. The room has a comfortable bed, private shower with lukewarm water (pretty common in Cartagena), and as a guest you get access to the kitchen.
From someone who writes: "you will be like my family, like my brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother.", I expected to want to meet me at least once - that did not happen. I didn't get to see Alexander, and messages took hours to get answered. For example the blanket we got was a very thin sheet, and we wanted a thicker blanket, but we didn't get a response to our request. Maybe Alexander was away during my stay - I see others had a positive interaction.
It would also have been great to alert us in the description that there are multiple travelers staying at different rooms in the house. This isn't too much of an issue, since each room has a lock and a key, but there was noise of guests waking up and leaving in the morning.
The room has one serious flaw - there are few small windows in the bathroom that are not covered by a mosquito net, so it's very easy for mosquitos to get in, and then get into the bedroom. When we got in, there were already mosquitos in both rooms, and we had to sleep covered with mosquito repellent.
If those issues will be addressed, the room would be a great place to stay in the beautiful Cartagena.
