Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
We are situated just 5 miles from Tarbert ferry terminal with beautiful sea views overlooking Harris and Scalpay. We are close to amenities in both Tarbert and Scalpay. Ideally situated for a peaceful and scenic stay whilst not being far from The Harris Distillary, Harris Tweed shop & West Harris beaches. Just 20 mins to the beautiful Luskentyre beach.

Self contained private apartment with its own front door (we live in other half of the bungalow but no inside spaces shared)

IMPORTANT to book your ferry with Calmac asap. The ferries book up early especially for the busy seasons

We are Pet Friendly (extra charge of £10 per dog per stay)

We also have a Studio Apartment, sleeps 2, fully equipped kitchen including washer, ensuite facilities ideal for one or two people. This is an annex with it's own entrance. Only shared spaces are outside.

There are two small grocery shops in Tarbert open until 6pm.
Petrol station in Tarbert and another just a few miles along the road towards Stornoway which also opens in the evening 8-9 pm Mon-Sat. These are all closed on Sunday's

Neighbourhood highlights

Very tranquil and scenic setting with spectacular views across the water to Scalpay and Harris. Regular sightings of golden and sea eagles from the house along with seals, otters and porpoises.
We are close to Scalpay where you can enjoy a walk to the Eilean Glas lighthouse and rewards you with stunning views across the Minch to Skye and mainland Scotland. We are also close to the award winning North Harbour Bistro which is a great place to eat out for lunch or an evening meal.
