Minerva apartment is a beautiful apartment on a small complex of just 6 apartments which share 2 large swimming pools. The complex is on a peaceful side street yet only a genuine 2 minute walk from the nearest amenities such as banks, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Kalkan centre is just a five minute walk. The apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, an open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen, and a huge wrap around balcony from which there are stunning mountain and sea views.
Minerva Apartment has been a much loved holiday home, used for many family holidays since it was bought in 2006. As a result, it is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering break: a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, washing machine, dish washer, microwave, fruit blender; open plan living area with comfy seating, TV, DVD player, docking station, Wi-Fi; and 2 fully furnished bedrooms (one en-suite and the other with the bathroom directly across the hallway). Outside, there is a huge wrap around balcony that can be accessed from the living area and also both bedrooms. The balcony has a large rattan dining table and chairs for 6 plus a gas fired BBQ- perfect for eating in on hot summer nights! The apartment is on a small complex of just six apartments which share two swimming pools, both of which have Roman steps for easy access. There are extensive communal gardens which have pretty stone pathways, mature fruit trees and Mediterranean shrubbery. From the balcony and pool terrace, there are beautiful views over Kalkan bay and its stunning mountain back drop.
Guests have use of the entire apartment and all communal areas including the two swimming pools.
Interaction with guests
As I live in Kalkan, I'll be available throughout your stay for advice, tips on what to see and do in the local area, and be on hand should any problems arise. I'd also be happy to arrange transfers for you to/from Dalaman and Antalya airports, and arrange car hire ahead of your stay should you want it (although it's not neccessary).
Other things to note
The apartment is not suitable for those with mobility issues as there is a flight of steps to reach the apartment.
Smoking is not allowed, except for on the balcony and other outside areas
Having graduated from the Uni of Liverpool in 2007, I moved to Istanbul before settling in the village of Kalkan in Antalya, Turkey. I have lived here ever since with my partner, feeling lucky every day to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Living in Kalkan, I'm lucky enough to swim in the Mediterranean sea any day of the week, eat delicious food at Kalkan's many excellent restaurants and catch up with friends for a drink (or two!) in one of the many relaxed bars. Kalkan is a small piece of paradise- come and see for yourself!
