We certainly respect everyone's viewpoint and realize that tastes differ, but we were surprised by a few items in Christine's feedback.
First, we were surprised Christine found the King bed in the Master bedroom too soft, as every previous guest who has mentioned the bed has said it was the most comfortable bed of anyplace they've ever stayed and it is less than a year old.
Secondly, although the unit is connected to our home, as a separate guest suite, with a separate entrance and hallway into the unit, there is a roof high, plant filled atrium and a 35 foot hall way in between, ending in a large space with no traffic, only the Atrium in between.
The almost floor to ceiling windows of the Gallery Hallway, which displays some of our art work, do look over the deck and backyard, which are reserved for the use of our guests when in residence, no one goes into that area when there are guests. In fact, all living quarters and areas are at least 35 or more feet away with many walls in between, and there is a separate front deck and garden area for our use alone.
The day after their arrival, Christine and her husband woke and left at the proverbial "crack of dawn" to set up their jewelry Kiosk to participate in San Antonio's day long King William Fair; as they didn't arrive back till late, leaving early the next morning, they may not have had adequate time to totally discover and assess the lay out of the house and grounds. There are two covered areas in the back yard, the Gazebo area and an outdoor dining area, both with ample seating, which can't even be seen from the house, so are completely private. Since we were out enjoying Fiesta parties ourselves during their brief stay, there generally was no one at all even in the house during those times they were in the Casita, at night. None the less, we regret they didn't find the Casita the best fit for them. We do have another vacation rental, Casa Centro, 3 blocks from the San Antonio River and we were somewhat surprised they didn't choose that for their stay as it is much closer to King William, and a free standing house, which seems to be their preference so it might have been a better fit for them. Perhaps next time Christine and her husband will select Casa Centro and we would welcome them there.
