Wyford is a beautiful old school farm set in a valley just 2km off the N3 (about midway between Johannesburg and Durban) offering private self catering cottages. Wyford is great for families, especially with children, and good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
It is of historical interest as it is situated on the first pass over the Drakensburg mountains used by the ox wagons taking supplies to the mines from the coast.

Shielas place is well situated at around the halfway point between durban and joburg off the N3. The location is scenic and the accomodation rustic, spacious, comfortable and very clean. Shiela is a great host the property has everything you need for a stop over.

Very tranquil place. Close to nature with lots of bird song. I enjoyed reading the historic information provided by our lovely host. Recommend that you pack comfortable walking shoes to enjoy the walking trails.

More than perfect! I would like to give more than 5 stars. The cottage is a blast, I fell in love with it the moment I walked in. It felt like being in a fairtytale. Also Sheila and her dogs are absolutely lovely. Thanks again!!!

A lovely, quiet English country cottage away from the noise and hustle of the highway. I can recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing rest between Gauteng and the KZN coast. And to top it off, the view of the mountains is breathtaking.
