My cozy 1400 sf home is located in historic Bankers Hill, next to I-5, near the airport. I am 1 block from Little Italy, 7 blocks to Balboa Park, 6 blocks from the Harbor, and 1 mile to Gaslamp Quarter.
With 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 2 living rooms, I am walking distance to most EVERYTHING in the city center (museums, bars, restaurants, nature).
Near the trolley, train, and airport, you almost don't need a car to see the city from my home.
There are two living rooms - one per floor - which is excellent for travelers that want to stay together, but also have their own space.
My two story home is eclectically shaped like a triangle and enjoys views of downtown, the Interstate 5, and Little Italy.
Downstairs has a kitchen/dining area, living room, bedroom and a bathroom. Flooring is tile and carpet.
Upstairs is the loft area. A comfy living room with view/picture windows, real hardwood floors, an open/loft bedroom, bathroom, and a patio balcony (overlooking the Interstate and the city skyline).
This home is actually my personal residence. The furniture is Pottery Barn, Bassett, and custom pieces ... not your typical "rental unit" furniture.
No keys. There is an electronic lock - I change the passcode for each guest, so you can be assured none else knows the current code.
You can access the whole house, upstairs and downstairs, and the patio balcony looking at downtown. It's rented for you and your guests, there is no sharing with me inside the house during your stay.
There is also outdoor patio seating. This area is shared with the neighbors.
There is a small outdoor 2nd story deck, which catches nice breezes and city views.
Interaction with guests
I'm told I'm easy to get along with, and I like people to be happy. At times, I can be very busy, but I would be happy to give a quick tour of the area when you check in, or just give advice about the area.
Other things to note
Please note the home is near the airport, and I am next to Interstate 5 (Little Italy is on the other side of the Interstate). It is an energetic environment, full of energy and movement.
Little Italy is a tourist center, attracting both locals and visitors alike. It's great for dinner and drinks, as well as for boutique shopping or just hanging out at cafe's.
Bankers hill tends to be more residential, but there are a few nice spots there too. Although its mainly residences, there are a few nice restaurants tucked into the neighborhood.
The whole area is full of locals and visitors alike. As we are a fair weathered city, there can be homeless folks in the streets. They usually keep to themselves and do not approach you. (Many facilities and programs that cater to the needs of the homeless are located downtown).

I renovate old houses, travel, and create music on my computer (and a guitar now and then). I love San Diego, the water, and hanging out in my neighborhood. You can find me in coffee shops, jogging at the park or beach, or hanging with my dad.
I speak English and Spanish fluently. I speak a little Russian having worked there once.
