We had a fantastic stay here over the bank holiday weekend. The cottage is really well equipped if you want to cook at home and really conveniently located for the local restaurants and shops. If anything the photos make it look smaller than it actually is, a first!

Jane was so helpful all through our stay, including helping us resolve a problem of our own making! Little Green is a really comfortable place and Jane had left us a bottle of bubbly to see in the new year, as well as the basics for a good cup of tea of arrival. All the instructions were clear. The house is warm, clean with plenty of character. It is very central for Lymington with everything within walking distance: a Tesco, M&S food, Waitrose and numerous shops and restaurants. It is also very central for the New Forest and Jane's offer to provide a Parking Clock (for a refundable deposit) was great, as it is valid through much of the new Forest. We visited in Winter, so the outside patio seating were not quite appropriate: when we return in a spring/summer/autumn period, this will be a lovely bonus. We have no hesitation is recommending Little Green and Jane. David

The Accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for our needs. Great location, very central in Lymington, so great for exploring the town and surrounding area (discovered lovely walks out to salt marshes) Booked last minute, communication and arrangements dealt promptly by Jane. Enjoyed out trip.

Parking....

Response from Jane:
I am a little disappointed with Richard's comments about the parking clock as I messaged him on the 16th July to say we could offer a clock which permits free parking at most of the council sites in the Forest if he paid a deposit for it. His booking was the 22nd July, so there was ample time to organise this and I did infact chase him to confirm if he wanted one. When he asked if he could pay cash on arival as a deposit I said he could if he arrived before 4.45 as I could make arrangements with a local shop to pass it on as I live one hour away from the site. As he was arriving later than that I said we would try and work something out - when we finally spoke on the phone he explained that he would be there about 7 and I said if he could call me when about a half hour away I could get my housekeeper to meet him with a clock as long as it wasn't any later. He rang me at 9 pm when he was there! Unfortunately my housekeeper had turned in for the night - she lives half an hour away and gets up early - so we arranged I would get the clock to him the following day if he called me with his whereabouts. He didn't call me and as his daughter was doing a judo something in town I presumed he had organised parking there. The cottage specifies there is no parking, I emphasise that in the confirmation, so the clock is just my way of making it easier for the guests. The clocks cost me £175 each, which is why I don't leave them in the cottage without a deposit. I feel I tried my best to organise this with Richard - I think the fact he was in Vietnam prior to the vist, only landing on the day of the booking, slightly clouded the issue of his contactability. Re the cooker switch, its a switch on its own on the wall near the cooker.
