Excellent location in the centre of town. Avril was very good at welcoming us and communicating throughout our stay. Amazing views from the room and the rooftop pool/gym. Would come back!

My husband and I stayed for a week in this apartment and really enjoyed it. Avril (who was the host for the apartment) went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Would recommend!

Absolutely enjoyed staying in this flat. The view is amazing, location is very central and the hosts were incredibly helpful. Will definitely stay here again upon my return to Cape Town.

My stay was OK. My interaction with Ian and Elke was limited to a cursory email; the rest took place with Avril, who, although she was unable to actually meet me, was wonderful, communicative, and attentive in addressing various hiccups that arose during the stay. The apartment itself was adequate; it is sparsely appointed and was more worn and less clean that it appears in the photographs. Perhaps this was a spate of bad luck due to the holiday weekend, but I had issues with an out-of-order elevator, noise and drunken 20-somethings roaming the halls of the floor. The apartment itself presents an issue: it gets very hot without the window open, but because of its location, it gets very noisy when the window is open. The view of Table Mountain was nice, but it's impossible to cover the window enough to achieve darkness, even when the sun is down. As mentioned by another guest in another review, I too had issues with the Wi-Fi.

Response from Ian And Elke:
We extend our apologies for the problems experienced by Josh during his stay and wish him well for the rest of his time in South Africa. As we live outside of Cape Town, and some distance from the apartment, we rely on our good friend and hostess, Avril to service the apartment and to ensure that all the needs of our guests are met so that their stay is perfect in every way. I believe the majority of 5 star ratings support this and attest to the great job that she does. Unfortunately, for the last couple of bookings, Avril was in hospital and so unable to give the personal touch and hands on help that defines her as such a good hostess. We have had back to back bookings since before Christmas, and with over 20 guests during this time, it is not always easy to maintain all the furnishings in the pristine condition that we would like. However, following Josh’s feedback, a time slot has been scheduled for us to inspect the apartment, arrange a thorough spring-cleaning and address any problems. New blinds have been installed to address the light issue and a simple reboot of the modem solved the couple of hours’ downtime of the Wifi. We take all feedback very seriously and do all possible to maintain 5 star ratings. Unfortunately, in this instance, none of the above problems were brought to our attention during Josh’s stay and so we were unable to address them with him.

Ideally situated in the District 6 area. Though on the 13 floor there is a lot of noise from the street below. View of tabletop mountain were fantastic.

Response from Ian And Elke:
We wish we could do more about the city sounds but Cape Town is a magical city with a vibrant night life typical of any major city. Thankfully closing the sliding doors virtually eliminates these night sounds allowing one to unwind with a glass of wine while enjoying the fantastic mountain views. We hope that you enjoy the rest of your stay in South Africa and leave with many special memories. Warm regards, Ian and Elke.

A centrally located flat with incredible views. It was impeccably clean, well equipped for a studio and very comfortable for two. There are several great coffee shops across the street, an eclectic bookstore, and the Kimberely Hotel on the corner. It is within a 10-15 minute walk to Long Street, the outdoor market and the On-Off Bus Station.
