The space

The room is newly refurbished to a very high standard with original features such as sash window to the rear, wooden floors, high skirtings and Victorian cast iron radiator. It overlooks the back garden.

The shower room is shared with another guest room on the same floor. It is a new addition to the third floor with a vaulted ceiling and remote controlled velux window making this room fresh, light and spacious. There is a walk in double shower, wall hung WC with integrated cupboard above for storage, high-gloss white console with wash basin and double drawer vanity unit. There is underfloor heating and a tower radiator. The hosts have their own bathroom.

Guest access

We provide you with a key and you will have access through the main entrance door.
We live in a quiet house in a typical Brighton residency with lovely white townhouses either side of the street. Please be respectful of keeping noise down when coming home late at night.

Interaction with guests

We are happy to answer any of your questions or to provide advise/recommendations but most of we want to give you the privacy you seek during your stay. Our cat Scruff is also respectful of that but he is also very friendly and likes attention too.

The neighbourhood

The house is just a few minutes’ walk from the station and less than 10 walking minutes from the buzz of the town centre for the greatest practicality with its famous North Lanes, Brighton Pavilion and the lovely sea front.

The central location is perfect for exploring Brighton town centre especially if you’re travel via train or other public transport. Parking your car can be a bit more challenging, there are a number of car parks but these can be expensive.

Getting around

Just three minutes from the train and bus station, it is easy to get to Beachy Head, Seven Sisters, Lewes, Glyndebourne Opera and other seaside south coast towns. And the newly opened British Airways i360 is just 15 walking minutes from us.

Other things to note

There are two double guest rooms available on the top floor. If you are interested in booking both rooms, please check the availability on our other guest room that is listed here:

Esther & Emily were fantastic hosts! They kept in contact prior to the visit providing us with details of parking and confirming check in. Once we arrived they were really warm, inviting and friendly. The house is beautiful, immaculate and decor to a very high standard. We felt really comfortable and taken care of. Shops and restaurants are just a short walk away and we were provided with details of some good places to eat. We stayed for marathon weekend and Esther & Emily helped to make it an amazing experience. Would highly recommend!!

Emily and Esther's house was a genuine Airbnb surprise. Firstly, it was situated quite close to Brighton Train Station, so access was easy. It was a short walk down the hill to the quirky shops and cafes of the Lane. I found no need to use a taxi whilst I was there, even Hove was a 15-20 minute walk away. Secondly, the home was immaculately renovated. As a guest I had access to a brand new comfortable guest bathroom, and the bedroom was warm, quiet and comfortable And finally, Esther and Emily were fantastically friendly hosts ( and Scruff the cat was very well behaved). They were only too happy to make recommendations on where to eat and visit during my time-limited stay. I would definitely like to stay at their home again if I returned to Brighton.

Emily and Esther, and their place, is everything that is right about Airbnb. The two were as kind and considerate as humanly possible - doing everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I arrived in Brighton with only a few days notice due to an issue with my visa (I had just started a PhD in Brighton), and at first was staying in a horrible hostel. Realizing the horror of my mistake, I looked on Airbnb, where I found Emily and Esther's page. With only a few days notice they accepted my request - and even moved me into the bigger room of the two in their place free of charge! The room itself (as well as the house) is absolutely fantastic! Amazingly comfortable bed, and a view overlooking the hills of Brighton. Combining this with the pleasant conversations of both Emily and Esther, as well as the friendliness of their cat, I would not hesitate for a second in recommending their place to anyone wishing to visit Brighton. I cannot thank the two of them enough for their kindness and their gorgeous home.

Emily & Esther were absolutely fantastic hosts, they couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful right from the booking request to checking out, always on hand for help and interested to know more about you. Their beautiful home is a very short walk from the train station in a lovely neighbourhood and I was warmly greeted upon my arrival and given a tour of the house. The room was modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable, I slept very well during my stay. The bathroom was also stunning and very clean, the shower was easy to use and plenty of room for storing toiletries. I would call this 5* Airbnb accommodation and would absolutely stay with them again when I next visit Brighton.

With my friends, we had an amazing moment in Brighton in Esther & Emily house. Everything there was great: the house, the bed, the neighborhood, the welcome. The rooms and the bathroom were amazing, with all the features needed. Plus it is 3 minutes away from the train station which is very helpful. We shall be back there without any hesitation. Cheers.

Emily's & Ester's 3rd floor bedroom was absolutely perfect for my stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet, despite being a 5 minute walk from the train station. Emily & Ester had fresh towels, water bottles, and basic toiletry items laid out for me in the room. The shared bathroom was immaculate. Super clean, and modern. A great rain shower, big sink, and remote controlled skylight! I especially like being to dim the lights in the bathroom during my evening shower. There is also a half bath available if the shared bathroom is occupied. The rest of the house was well laid out. The kitchen had modern appliances, and the small porch in the backyard was very cute. Emily & Ester did everything to make sure my stay was enjoyable including offering me tea & snacks often, and were willing to recommend interesting places in Brighton. One of the best Airbnb stays I have ever had. I cannot recommend staying with Emily & Ester enough. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Esther & Emily User ProfileEsther & Emily is a superhost.

Emily has lived in Brighton for more than 10 years and grew up in Sussex.

Esther is German and moved to Brighton 8 years ago where she works in London with the occasional day working from home.

Our cat ‘Scruff’ was a stray who adopted us over 6 years ago. He’s a very friendly easy going cat who loves to be cuddled.

We are very excited to start our AirBnB host experience and wish you a warm welcome to our newly refurbished home.
