The host was helpful, agreed to give us the keys even though we arrived late (11:30pm). Gave us a map and some useful information about Trapani. Explained about free parking, provided with sheets and everything else that he promissed. The only thing we did not like was that the electricity is turned on by the key which is locked by a padlock to the apartment key (I presume to save electricity when guests leave apartment) and when you leave, you must turn off all the electricity - including fridge and freezer. There is a very nice bakery just on the other side of the street - amazing sandwitches and food.

Hello Modestas, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. There's a general switch turning the electricity on and off in the apartment. This is to avoid waste due to some people forgetting to switch off the light or the ceiling fans when they go out. This would be a waste and, since we pursue sustainability, we try to avoid any waste. Anyway, the fridge and anything else in the kitchen is excluded from the switch, hence all the kitchen appliances - including of course fridge and freezer - and sockets are always powered, always on. No worry for your ice creams :-)

Ignazio was very nice and helpful. He was waiting for our arrival at the right time and had everything prepared for us. He gave us a map and showed where it's worth to go. Although the apartment didn't look like on the photos. On the listing it seems to be very fresh and clean which is not exactly the truth. There is no window in the second bedroom, and its a passing room. I mean you have to go trough it to get to the kitchen and another bedroom or bathroom. Kitchen was dusty and dishes as well. The oven doesn't work, there is no cutting board etc. The bathroom is a very low standard as well which is probably why there is no photos of it included in the listing. We had there a good time anyway, but I think that those things I wrote are actually important and not that difficult to fix so hopefully it will be better soon. Thank you much anyway! Warm regards

Response from Ignazio:
Hello Anna, thank you for your kind review. The oven will be fixed, the cutting board replaced (sometimes guests take the weirdest memories) and the cleaning lady scolded! By the way, there's a french door in the second bedroom with a vasistas on top of it, allowing plenty of light and air from outside, this is why there is no window in that room.

We have very good memories of our stay in Trapani. The apartment met our expectations and is fully consistent with the description. Apartment is equipped in such a way that we do not have any problems with preparing the basic dishes. The location - a few meters to the shops and food service - 2.5 km to the old town. Ignazio is a perfect host who will help with any issues - He assured renting a bikes, car and transport from airport. Once again, thank you for all the kindness and we hope to see again.

We stayed for 2 nights in Ignazio's appartment. Ignazio was very kind and he gave us some suggestions for activities. He also advised us a restaurant in the neighbourhood where we had a lovely dinner. The rooms were clean and nice.

We were very pleased of our vacation in Trapani in Ignazio's apartment. It's great that we have a possibility to check in in the middle of the night just after our airplane arrive, Ignazio welcome us with a lot of useful information. During our all stay he was very quick to respond and help us as he could i.e. with car rental or print boarding cards. He speaks english very well and he's very kind, communicative and helpful person. Apartment is calm, modern and well equipment - we have all things we need. It's also clean - it's cleaned twice a week so you can enjoy your holidays. Ventilation saves our lifes :) - it's necessary also in night. Also location is versy good - near main street you have nearly a big cheap market, a bakery, a coffee, bar or ice-creams. It's also good start-point to trips outside city - to Erice or to catch a bus to San Vito La Capo or to Marsala. It's a some more distance to Trapni beach (about 20-30 minutes), but it's not a big problem - this beach it's not very pretty - for a beach it's better to go to Egadi Islands, to San Vito La Capo or to Riserva della Singaro.

Ignazio's two bedroom apartment with equipped kitchen faces a quite courtyard and therefore is very calm even though the house itself is on a busy street. Ignazio welcomed us in the middle of the night with useful information about Trapani and the surrounding sights of western Sicily. Right across the street is a really good bakery that served us as a breakfast supply each morning. During our stay Ignazio was always quick to respond to our questions and he helped out where he could. He also had somebody come per to the apartment to clean and tidy up halfway through our stay.
