Located on the Murray River, in a peaceful area of Goolwa, our getaway home offers a comfy and relaxing spot to getaway from it all.
Only the ground floor is available for your use in this recently built home. Here you can enjoy the open plan dining/full kitchen/living area & four bedrooms (linen & towels provided), an outdoor area with a BBQ and large grassed area for you to enjoy.
Just across the road is our private jetty and grassed area that you can use.
The space
The house is two story, however only the ground floor is available for your use. The upstairs area is for our holiday use so we may be around during your stay. You have your own entrance and parking area. There is no access to the balcony.
The living area is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.
The lounge has a comfy leather corner lounge suite with two reclining chairs, TV and coffee table.
The full size kitchen has all the items you need. A standard sized fridge/freezer, hotplate, oven, microwave and dishwasher plus a pantry with a few basic cooking bits and pieces in it.
There are two dining areas, inside and outside, that both seat eight. The outside area also has a BBQ for your use.

Bed 1 - Queen Bed with WIR and ensuite bathroom
Bed 2 - Queen Bed with BIR
Bed 3 - Double Bed with BIR
Bed 4 - 2 Single Beds with drawers
All beds have a fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanket, quilt and two pillows per person on them. One bath towel per person is provided.
Highchair and portable cot available upon request.
The main bathroom has a shower and a bath with a separate toilet and vanity unit.
Small laundry with front loading washing machine. Detergent provided.
Access to large grassed back yard (but not the shed).
Walk across the the road to a private jetty where you can moor a small-medium sized boat, jet skis or your kayaks. There are two public boat ramps a short distance from property where you can launch your boat. Kayak through the quiet back waters of Currency Creek or take a cruise up the river to Claytons bay or down stream through the barrage and into the Coorong.
Things to do:
*Visit the seals at the Barrage or take a ride on the Cockle Train to Victor Harbor.
*Take a drive over to Hindmarsh Island to see the mouth of the Murray River and have a feed of fish & chips at the Coorong Cafe.
*If you have a 4x4 you can drive along the Goolwa beach all the way to the mouth or you can pull up and dig for cockles for your next fishing trip.
*Go for a round of golf at Goolwa or Victor Harbor.
*You will be spoilt for choice for places to eat from bakeries to pubs to international cuisine.
*Go for a drive to Victor Harbor and enjoy the Horse Drawn Tram over to Granite Island and climb the Bluff to get a fantastic view.
Guest access
You will have your own private entrance and there is a graveled driveway where you can park your car.
Access is via a smart lock so you don't have to worry about collecting a key.
Other things to note
Linen is provided and one bath towel per person.
Highchair and porta cot available.
Once you get the address and you get directions from Google Maps, don't be alarmed that the house looks different - the house you see is the old one that we knocked down.
Please note that only guests booked in during the reservation are permitted to stay however day visitors are welcome.
