The only house in the Daintree set in the rainforest, over a permanent running stream, with your own private swimming hole and waterfalls. The open plan house and large verandas afford panoramic views into the rainforest and over the waterfalls. This is the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or a fun place for families and friends to enjoy. If you are looking for peace & tranquility in the heart of the rainforest, you won't want to leave. Ideal for nature lovers, bird watchers & naturists.

The space
The entire property is yours for your stay. Privacy and exclusivity is what makes Daintree Secrets unique. No other property in the Daintree has it's own private swimming hole and waterfalls- right off the verandah!
This open plan,fully furnished house affords views from all rooms of the waterfalls and the rainforest. Bird- watch and spot butterflies from your large cool verandah overlooking the natural swimming hole.
A good night's sleep is always important, so we have luxurious king size beds in 2 of the 3 bedrooms for your enjoyment.
The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook up a storm and we supply basic grocery items.
For a fabulous day lounging around the prettiest swimming hole in the Daintree, we have luxury double bean bags, table, ice buckets and plastic drinkware. Set yourself up and enjoy! The best part is you don't have to share it with anyone - it's all yours!
Wander around the property and enjoy the various viewing platforms over the creek and the rainforest. Explore up and down the creek and say see if you can spot the shy tortoises. You can't miss the jungle perch , there are so many of them.
This is the perfect place for nature lovers and with so many varied places to explore, or just relax with a good book, you will find it hard to leave.

Set on acreage in the rainforest, at the base of the highest peak in the Daintree - Thornton's Peak, you will not know that you have any neighbours.
We are very centrally located, just 20 minutes north of the Daintree Ferry and 20 minutes to Cape Tribulation. All of the tourist attractions and restaurants / cafe's are close by.
One of the best and definitely the most scenic restaurant in the area - On The Turps at Heritage Lodge is just around the corner (2 minutes drive). Lync Haven is another spot for a fabulous breakfast or lunch and is a scenic 5 minutes drive away.
The amazing Butterfly and Bug Museum is at the end of our street. The beautiful Thornton's Beach is just 10 minutes away, as is Cow Bay. Cape Tribulation and all of its attractions is a scenic 20 minute drive.

During your stay

The beauty of Daintree Secrets is it' seclusion and privacy. Pulling into the carpark and hearing the sound of the waterfall and knowing this is all yours is truly special! You will be given directions to the property and how to unlock the house when you book your trip with me.
There is a phone available for you to book tours or a table at the local restaurants. If you need assistance during your stay, you can call our housekeeper who will be able to help you. You can only call local numbers and there is no mobile phone access in most of the Daintree.
