I am renting out a complete first floor suite. It has its own private bathroom and shower. The entire first floor is for your use. You will have your own floor! We have very curious and super social cats that will come down to say hello. They do not go in the room unless you invite them in. We have many repeat guests who love visiting with them ❤️

The space

I am close to interstate 64 and 7 minutes away from Fort Eustis Army Base. Less than 20 minutes from Langley Airforce Base. We are 15 minutes from Busch Gardens/Water Country/ Historic Williamsburg. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom. You will also have access to the 2nd floor which has a kitchen and entertainment area. There is on street parking which is ample. I will provide sheets, towels, and linens for you. The room has a queen size bed, however we listed for 3 guests as we are able to put a twin mattress or blow up mattress in the room upon request.

I have 2 cats and 1 dog who primarily stay wherever I am (2nd and 3rd floor).

I will be willing to accept guests who have a pet as long as they are house trained.

Guest access

We have wifi and cable. There is also a desktop computer in the room.

Interaction with guests

We want the best experience for our guests. If there is anything we can do to make your stay better, please let us know.

Other things to note

We keep a gate at top of stairs so that our teacup Chihuahua does not disturb our guests. He is very friendly and not at all yappy. We can put cats up on third floor away from guests upon guests request.

Cindy’s house was exactly as described. We didn’t get to meet Cindy during our 1 night stay, but she was great at communicating with us about our stay. The bed was super comfy and I loved her friendly, curious cats. Very cute house, would definitely recommend to others!

Cindy's place was a fantastic easy place to stay. I did not arrive till 9:30 at night but Cindy was easy to communicate with and the code she gave me for the door worked well. I was visited by the cats right away which was nice and they left relatively quickly from my room as well. The shower was great and the refrigerator was enough to keep my breakfast cool.

This was a great place to stay for a quick getaway! Cindy was very welcoming and her furry friends added a bit more personality and warmth to our visit! We came for a short weekend trip to Busch Gardens. The location was great and there were several restaurant and shopping options nearby. Some places we ate at nearby: The Philly Shack, Belgian Waffle and Steakhouse, and Food Craft. ALL of these places were delicious!! The first floor area we stayed in was cozy and met our needs throughout our weekend visit. Immediate access to a combination shower/kitchenette area, bathroom, and comfy queen-sized bed. Cable and wi-fi were also available! Everything was clean and presentable. The price was definitely reasonable considering all of the comforts of home that were provided. If you're passing through or planning a short stay in this area, I'd definitely recommend Cindy's place!

Kitchen was not clean at all. Trash everywhere and very cluttered. There was a bag of trash torn open by a pet (?) and strewn onto the floor. Pots and pans piled in the sink. Open food on countertops. A complete mess! This was at 9 o'clock in the morning.

Response from Cindy:
I am sorry that you were so displeased with your stay. As you can see from the 78 reviews we have had over this past year, you can see that this is an isolated incident. I was hit with an emergency that night and had to leave immediately, my mother was in the hospital. Although it doesn't excuse the fact that I left dishes piled in the sink, as you put it, or that I left opened food on the counter, I'm sure you can understand that it was absolutely necessary for me to leave at once to be with my mother, who thankfully is still recovering in the hospital. I'm sorry that I did not think to message you to let you know that there would be a mess in my kitchen due to my quick departure. As for the trash bag issue in the kitchen, I left in such haste that I didn't fully close the latch on the dogs crate. I do apologize that you had to see this, but again it didn't cross my mind to alert my guests of my family emergency. I know that you are new to Airbnb. I cautiously remind you that this is not a hotel. You are staying in someone's home at a hugely discounted rate. There is gonna be wear and tear to a carpet, the linens won't be crisp and new. If that is what you are seeking Airbnb may not be the best choice for you. I accommodated you and your pet at the very last minute. I did send you the code to the door. Again, since you are new to Airbnb, when a code is given, you don't have to check in. You come and go as you please. I wish that you had messaged me to address your grievances, perhaps I could have helped you to understand my emergency situation and possibly rectify them before you left an unfair review. I've never had anyone displeased with their stay in the entire year that I've opened my home to guests and have always strived and succeeded at making my guests happy and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed with Cindy and her family for my son's graduation from AIT at Fort Eustis. It was our first experience using AirBNB and a very positive one. Cindy's place is very comfortable and provides a bedroom, bathroom, and room with a shower all on the first floor of three total floors. The first floor is all yours other than visits from Cindy's very friendly animals, although the family uses the first floor entrance to come and go. Cindy provided us with a twin sized mattress so our son could stay for a few nights as well (very accommodating and friendly). The location is very close to the base and plenty of sightseeing. Everything was very clean and if ever in the area again we will not hesitate to stay at Cindy's place again!

Very clean and private!! We didn't get to meet Cindy because we were all in and out throughout our stay so we missed each other. Her daughter was there to greet us and show us around and was very friendly! There were 3 cats that she makes you aware of in the description. She said they were very curious and might come downstairs but won't come in the room unless invited. One cat in particular was trying to get into the room/bathroom every time we opened the door. It didn't bother us too much but if you are allergic or don't like cats, then it could get very annoying. Overall, great stat!
