Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Mayfield Studio is a quiet, contemporary, spacious self-contained apartment in the picturesque village of Painswick in the heart of the Cotswolds. A perfect base from which to explore the surrounding hills and valleys. The famous Cotswold Way is on our doorstep and you can walk or hike from here or potter in the village where there are great cafes and pubs. Stroud with its Farmer’s market and The Woolpack at Slad are nearby as is Cheltenham for the races and Jazz, Literary and Music Festivals.

The Studio has slate floors with underfloor heating throughout comprising of 64 square meters. The living area is double height and open-plan with a large 'L'shaped sofa, TV, dining table, desk and chairs. Many guests use the Studio as a bolt-hole and quiet place to work or study. The bedroom is on the mezzanine floor. There is an Ercol day-bed that can accommodate a child or room for a travel cot. A sofa bed or air-bed can be available downstairs for an adult with prior notice and a charge. The bathroom is slate lined with a walk-in shower. I work as a designer and project manager on interiors and gardens. I am very keen on the Arts, and draw and paint. I garden organically and collect and restore Mid-Century furniture, particularly Ercol. I love walking in the countryside surrounding Painswick.
