Cosy little apartment in the very heart of Florence, close to everything the city has to offer. Everything you need to cook, sleep, etc. is there. During the hot Italian Summer, we quite missed some airconditioning, but there are 2 fans to compensate. No wifi was also a bit of a downside. Earplugs (or the white noise from the fan) are a must, as the windows of the apartment look out on a lively street. Given the fact that the apartment was situated on the 4th floor, we also had a decent daily workout climbing the stairs. :-) Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our stay there, and Benedetta (Lucia's friend) was also very responsive and accommodating. My recommendation!

Everything was good except there was no A/C The location was perfect. I could reach every plcace in Florence within 10min. I highlly recommend this place for any tourist who really wants to stay inside and feel Florence. The room was spacious and cozy. It would have been better with a/c since summer in Florence is really hot!!!

Pros: PERFECT location, close to everything in Florence! Jenny met us when we arrived and even let us in earlier than check-in time to store our luggage. She gave us recommendations on restaurants (Fuoco Matto - one of the best meals we had on our trip!), showed us a map, and gave us her cell number if we needed anything. She and Benedetta were both quick to reply while we were there. Cons: No air conditioning. It says so on here, so we knew before we arrived, but just know, it was VERY HOT during our June stay. Not their fault, just know this if you plan to visit during the summer! They do provide one fan in the bedroom, but we were extremely hot our entire visit. There's also no wi-fi...again, we knew that going in, just be aware. And the 5 flights of stairs up with our luggage was pretty brutal, but worth it for the location.

Not much to say other than this clean apartment is located close to pretty much everything we wanted to do during our two nights in Florence. The unit is steps from shopping, bars, cafes, and central to countless museums. The host was attentive and reasonably flexible with some unforeseen timing issues we had. We were greatly appreciative. Impeccable stay for the money spent.

Lucia's apartment is located in the very heart of the main touristic center. You are just steps away from the Duomo, and the central location makes it easy to return home during the day as needed while exploring the city on foot. The bed is comfortable and the shower is spacious and provides plenty of hot water. We loved the kitchen window overlooking the street, from which you can hear the church bells above you and the clip-clop of horses as they pull carriages below you. We found the space just perfect for the two of us. There are some things to be aware of when staying in this part of town. Florence receives millions of foreign tourists every year, and the current practices of mass tourism brings bus-loads of tourists into the city for quick walking tours. If you don't like being bumped into by strangers in the street, then you should avoid Florence in the high tourist season. You will be bumped into. Not a big deal if you're a seasoned traveler. Florence also has a large resident foreign student population and the English-speaking (primarily American) students quite often carouse very loudly in the streets at all hours of the night. At the end of Lucia's street, there is a bar that caters to the English-speaking tourists, and they play loud rock music as night and attract fairly large and loud crowds of patrons. Fortunately, they close down by 1 am, but you will probably hear drunken students and tourists in the streets at all hours. That's not Lucia's fault, of course, but you should be aware of this when renting in the historic center of Florence. Another consideration is the walk up the five flights of stairs to reach Lucia's apartment. It's a bit of a challenge getting your gear up and down the stairs, but you only have to deal with that at check-in and check-out. Again, not a big issue for seasoned travelers, but something to be aware of: it's a climb. But of course, the climb ends up giving you a delightful view of the street, the terracotta tile-covered roofs and the bell tower nearby. Overall, we had a completely positive experience with Lucia's property and would recommend it to spry, noise-tolerant travelers.

Lucia's place is very nice. It is also in a very centric location, close to everything. We never got to meet Lucia but she was very responsive to all my messages and very helpful.
