The space
A quiet respite on the edge of wilderness only minutes to Carmel. This sparkling Studio gem offers gorgeous canyon views, a full kitchen and full bath. Located at the end of a private road, it affords guests an environment to rest and rejuvenate. This is the perfect space for one or two weary souls to get away from it all. After a day of hiking in one of the many parks or trails in the area, or strolling in our private gated canyon to the redwood grove and the creek, lying out on the nearby small private beach, wine tasting at one of the many wineries or sight-seeing in Big Sur, Carmel or other surrounding areas – This is the place to “come home to.” The space features a private entrance, full kitchen, full bath, open beamed ceiling, full-sized bed [double bed], dining and sitting area, iPod/iPhone player, flat screen TV monitor with Apple TV to access streaming services with your own account or watch a DVD on the player provided, wireless internet, free parking and more.

The house is located in a very quiet, residential area at the end of a private road. The house itself is perched on the edge of a canyon and borders wilderness area. Most of the homeowners are retired and many are only here part-time.

This is not a hotel room, it is our home. Being next to the canyon, be aware that noise travels far. Please be courteous and respectful of this by keeping the decibel level of voices and music down after 9pm. Also please drive slowly on the curvy roads to and from the house. There are no street lights in our neighborhood. House numbers are out of sequence; it is wise to make sure you have the written directions to get here which will be available to you upon booking.

I feel blessed to live with my partner of eighteen years on this sacred piece of land at the edge of wilderness overlooking a canyon and the ocean. My wife Jill & I write and create various expressions of art while care taking the property, our menagerie of pets and other creatures that also call our property home.

We love sharing our blessings with like-minded people who appreciate and can benefit from “fillin' up” their souls with the many gifts this property offers.
