Comfortable and relaxing farmhouse with 2 gorgeous en-suite double rooms plus we include breakfast! This listing is for room 1 The Tollhouse Room only. Rustic and stylish interior with guest lounge, large conservatory, patio and established garden to sit in. Plenty of free parking. Close to Totnes with markets and individual shops, castle, wonderful cafes and the meandering river Dart. Close to Dartmouth, Salcombe, the coast, Dartmoor, Exeter and Plymouth.

The space
We have two rooms available. Room 1 The Toll House room has a double and has a high beamed ceiling and a chandelier! It has a new shaker style king size bed and new mattress that guests say is really comfortable plus electric blanket! There are lovely views, an en suite power shower and all the usual amenities.

Room 2 The Garden room is listed separately on Air BnB. It has an antique French double bed and a single is available if needed or is a sofa with big cushions if not. It has views over the garden and an en-suite bathroom and all the usual facilities.
Kate is a qualified and very experience life coach if you would like to book some sessions in advance contact her to check availability.

There is safe parking and a beautiful garden to enjoy! Plus a friendly welcome awaits you!

Guest access
Our guests are welcome to our family home where you will have access to the conservatory for your breakfast and to sit in the guest lounge, the garden and patio area.

Please note that we can only accommodate one extra guest in room 2 in the single bed. So if you are looking for a room for 3 , 2 people would have to share the double bed.

Other things to note
We have a 14 year old daughter, a Lakeland terrier called Twig and 2 rabbits. Our garden is my husbands delight and he has created a beautiful front garden and recently planted lots of trees. We grow vegetables in our vegetable garden so I can pick fresh produce to pop in our freshly made juices!

We offer muesli/cereal/toast/berries/yoghurt and tea/coffee for breakfast sometimes we create pancakes or cinnamon toast or invent some new options to keep life interesting!

Location

Totnes, England, United Kingdom

The area around us is beautiful with lovely views and rolling green hills. There are views to Dartmoor and it takes about 20mins to get to gorgeous beaches and the coastal path. The cities of Exeter, Torquay and Plymouth are close to visit. There are lots of beautful National Trust Houses to visit. And we are 5 minutes down the road by car to Totnes with it's vibrant shops, market and events.

We are situated near a minor road which allows us to be found easily . The road is busy at rush hour times so if you are seeking total silence we can't guarantee it! Over 8 years only two guests have every mentioned it. The whole house has an essence of peace.

We are very close to Totnes but in the middle of the countryside. It takes 5 minutes to be in the heart of Totnes which is a wonderful historic town with it's castle and tudor houses. There are over 40 places to eat/drink in Totnes and it is very eco and environmentally friendly.
There are so many amazing things to do around us. Here are just a few:

Walk to Avon Dam
Dartington Hall gardens and the Green Table is a must plus walk in the estate., plus the Barn cinema!

We are a family home with one daughter still at home, rabbits and a dog! But we don't have pets to stay, sorry! We love meeting new guests. We have safe parking and a beautiful garden you can walk around and if the weather is good you could have breakfast outside. There are specific guest areas: the bedrooms that have tv and drinks trays, the guest lounge, the conservatory with a sofa and table for breakfast, if sunny breakfast is served on the patio area and of course our lovely garden where you can sit and relax. Our kitchen is not available for guest use. Kate is a life coach and juice therapist and Trevor a semi-retired plumber. We love our garden and visiting gardens! My daughter and I love swimming in the sea. We also enjoy walking our dog and visiting NT houses, castles, beaches and the moors. We really love the area we live in but enjoy travelling too! My favourite place is the Alhambra in Granada but I hope to visit many more wonderful cities and parts of Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. I spen years as a child travelling around europe with my parents in a vw camper! I love keeping healthy, happy and enjoy working with clients to increase their health and happiness. I am training in Indian Head Massage at the moment so can offer a free taster if you would like one!
