Penysarn is a small village just outside of Amlwch we are located to the top and along right side of the isle. The industrial revolution is said to have started here due to the Copper mine and the riches it gave up, all of this is long gone but the breath taking landscape still remains. There are beautiful beach's all over the island offering up different options form long sandy stenches to rocky enclaves and there is fabulous water sports ,fishing and dolphin/seal watching to be had .
As for pubs and restaurants the island is full of great places to eat and drink we are famous for sea food and in particular Menai mussels, the butchers in Amlwch also sell great local produce

I'm 50 something and married to Greg we moved here in September 2015 and have a small small holding . We have ducks and chucks 2 rescue cats and two adorable Jack Russell's and Sammy our newly adopted Griffon from Spain who is just heaven we have 3 grown up children and 4 grand children which is one of the reasons we've moved to the county, so they can come and spend time in the holidays by the sea I love cooking and baking ,walking, sea swimming, wine and yoga I have now ventured in to preserving, Jamming and making Curds I am part of Anglesey Artisans and bake for the Artisan events. I'm definitely an 80's girl at heart and love all things from my growing up era We enjoy entertaining and having friends and family over there is often much music, laughter and dancing We also love our dogs ,cats, ducks and chucks and now have moved on to miniature Shetland ponies Cal and Mac We are trying to be as self sufficient as possible but its early days yet. But with a bit of help and advice we will get there. I have recently discovered the joys of the local auctions much to Greg's dismay and am trying my hand a bit of furniture up-cycling Having spent almost 30 years in the Social Care Industry I adore this new lifestyle and hosting on Airbnb is just fabulous
