Our home is close to lots of gorgeous natural forests for hiking or hunting. The city and port of Erie are never far away though, if you prefer a change of pace or getting out on the lake. Albion has lots of small town charm, and there are lots of unique local shops and sights in the general area - gorgeous pottery, historic wine cellars.. just to name a few! The house is great for anyone: big groups (reunions, hunters or nearby famous steelhead fishing) or families with kids. Pets considered!

We had a great time. This property is spacious and perfect for large families traveling or having a reunion. A great location in a rural town and a short drive from the city and lake!

Response from Christine:
There were no stray hairs in the bathrooms nor dust on the counters. We were in our own property just the days before this guest arrived and none of those conditions existed. Unfortunately this site does not give me the option of listing only partial air conditioning so I have deleted that from the listing. However, per the National Weather Service (NOAA) the temperatures at night were in the 50's and 60's and all the upstairs rooms have newer (within the last 7 years) double hung windows so that you can open both the tops and bottoms for circulation. In addition, two of the upstairs rooms have fans. On this site, under amenities is an item "essentials". To list that we have towels and sheets it also says we have soap and toilet paper. We did have toilet paper and there was hand soap in all three bathrooms. As for the master bedroom set up, it is clearly shown in the pictures on the site AND I personally talked to Peter on the phone and re-iterated that the master was essentially all one large room that we had tried to position some of the furniture for privacy. He said he saw the pictures and he was fine with it. And as for the bugs, again we were there. literally the 8 days prior and did not have the issue they seemed to have encountered. Same with the hot water. We all took showers with plenty of hot water (although the 2nd email I received requesting a refund claimed they had NO hot water and the 1st email I received said nothing at all about the hot water). So if you do not have hot water why do you not call the property manager (who lives there in town as they were informed) or the owner. Why wait a week to say anything at all? Also the emails mentioned an issue with ants but now per this review it seems it was spiders. Which one guys? The description of the town does not claim that is a hot bed of gourmet eating. A simple internet search would reinforce that this is a sleepy community of 1400 people. There was no false advertising on our part. I really feel that much of this review is because I would not cave to their request to have some of their money back even though they said absolutely nothing to anyone the entire weekend. They never called me, they never called my property manager, they didn't even say anything to the neighbors. They were quiet, respectful and left the place tidy and as per instructed. I was very shocked and dismayed to receive their emails (each one was from a different member of their party) and now to read this review. I find it deceitful to stay quiet during the stay, demand a refund (at least 50% of all the money they paid even the part that doesn't go to me) and then post a negative review when I say no. If a guest is going to stay somewhere and there are problems then the property owner should absolutely be given a chance to rectify the situation. They should not be subjected to blackmail and negativity because they were not given that opportunity.
