Our townhouse fared miraculously well when Hurricane Harvey hit Rockport in August. However, much of Rockport is heavily damaged. Many businesses are open, but some are still closed. Clean-up and restoration are going forward. Meanwhile, we have prepared our three bedroom, two bath townhouse to receive guests once again. Visitors and locals are welcome. If you are a resident of Rockport and need a temporary home, please message me before you book. I would be honored to give you a special rate.
Birdsong on the Bay sleeps 6 and has open water views of Aransas Bay. We have a 750 foot fishing pier (currently awaiting repairs) and world-class birding, parking for your boat, tennis courts, and swimming pool (awaiting repairs). You can relax, dangle a hook, boat, board, kayak, swim, play tennis, visit the local art galleries and museums, shop, enjoy the birding and nature trails, join the neighbors riding their bikes and golf carts on Fulton Beach Road, or just sit on the deck and watch the panorama pass quietly by.
As of this writing (20 September 2017) most attractions, including Rockport Beach, were closed because of hurricane damage. Electricity and water have been restored to our townhouse. TV and Internet should be restored before October. The pier, pool, and marina are all closed pending repairs. All of this will be corrected, but it will take time. While these are not our usual standards for guests, we understand that the need for housing is great, and we want to welcome you. If you are a Rockport resident who needs a monthly rental, please send me a message before you book.
